Does anyone know what this is? I was looking in my emails and there was one from eReceipts thanking me for my order, but I have no idea what it is.I haven't ordered anything from anywhere. I called McAfee and they said to delete it. Can anyone help?

I get lots of wierd emails like that and I just delete them.

I would check your credit cards to see if there are any unusual or unauthorized charges just to be sure especially since nothing was ordered.

e-Receipt stands for electronic receipt. It’s a digital version of a receipt, which is issued to acknowledge your purchase of goods or services.

They are most commonly sent via email, though any other digital medium — such as SMS, a smartphone app, or even social media messaging — is a valid way to send an e-receipt.

The details that are found on an e-receipt, what they are used for, and when they are issued are all the same as for physical receipts.

The only difference is that an e-receipt is digital.

I'm constsntly getting invoice copies from McAffe, Norton, Best Buy and others thanking me for my purchases. I just check my cc and make sure nothing is posted. I get some from paypal, and no, I dont have a pay pal acct. My dad recently starting getting texts now too. We check his accts, but I say dont touch the texts, just delete. He gets worried, because, honestly some look official. Just crooks hoping they respond with card data. Mine have only been emails so far, no texts yet.

@catter70 If the e-receipt does not show what was purchased delete it & mark it scam/junk mail.

Since I never request an email receipt, and it sounds like you made no such request @catter70

I would immediately delete, report as spam etc and not look at it at all.

I love the emails I get that "somone has tried to get into your Facebook account" I don't have a Facebook account!! Emails such as the OP's I just delete without clicking on them.

Yes, must be something new. I just made a purchase and got one. HOWEVER, I found the dancing video with a host and the models a bit much Could do without that ridiculousness.

Almost EVERY day, I get an email notice from various vendors saying amounts (ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars)...are being deducted from my PayPal account. I don't have an account with them. I report those as phishing. di

Spam emails----I get them alot--on my pc-----and all of them are bogus--but once in a while I get a few that make me check them out with the actual online site I have---but NEVER click on any links--all of them are garbage and I delete them. Most of them come from Norton or some other virus protection--- saying that hundreds of $$ have been applied to a credit card for a year of protection---but I do check my bank accounts and usually change the passwords.
