Robes for cold weather

It's cold here in the East. Do you have a favorite robe, pajama thingy that you want to hold onto even though you buy something new?

Yes- I will be buried in my L.L. Bean fleece lined robe, as they won't be able to pry it from my cold dead hands.

I love my cotton flannel LL Bean wrap robe. They are not selling them at this time.

They do have a pima flannel one, in limited sizes (regular and petites).

I just treated myself to a new cozy flannel nightshirt from Lands End and it is so soft and warm, I love it.

It is a lovely teal and grey paisley print.

But I still love my long fleecy robe and fuzzy slippers. It has been freezing here with the polar vortex and I have been comfy cozy.

I have one from JCP when they used to carry the Adonna brand. I love my red shawl collar fleecy robe! I bought a Stafford brand also from JCP for my DH in a burgundy color (fleecy too) for Christmas and he loves his robe!

Im in the east. (PA) It snowed here again today and its freezing again. I have a soft robe my daughter got me for Christmas the other year but I hardly wear my robe. Right now I have on PJs with a turtle neck underneath, socks, slippers and am wrapped in a throw with the electric heater near me. We keep our gas heat at 68. I refuse to raise ithe thermostat t in spite of the cold.

Has to be cotton for me. Don't know why but can't wear synthetics next to my skin.

I have a favorite black wrap robe with leopard collar & cuffs. It's a very fluffy soft lightweight material like those Berkshire blankets the Q sells. I love it!

I love a good cozy robe and have several, but even the best of them only comes mid-calf on me. I use them when I get out of a nice hot bath, and sometimes put them on after drying off when I shower, but I don't run around the house in a robe for warmth. I usually end up putting on yoga pants or sweatsuit pants (hate the term sweat suit) then a cozy top and some fluffy socks. I guess I use my robes only for bath/shower time, not run around the house time.

I have a chenille robe I bought from TJMaxx, which I love. I bought it a few years ago, and it's still going strong. The brand name is "Aria." I should probably replace it at some point, but it isn't falling apart, so I'm in no hurry. It was less than $30, so I feel like I got a pretty good deal. I'm thinking I could get a few more years of use out of it. I wear it around the house, and sometimes I sleep with it on, if I'm feeling particularly cold...so it's been through the wash several times, and it's not falling apart or threadbare at all.

I love my long, zip front fleece robe with hood. Have two of them and I wear them every night in my home. Love them!

Well, Jules, there are robes for everything! I have about 6 fleece and terry robes that I alternate for showering. I get out wet and do the towel turban on my head.

Then, for "around the house" lounging, I have about 5 robes- four fleece lined and one velour robe, because who wants to wear a wet robe around the house?

The key is to have different versions for showering/lounging.

You might have good luck with men's robes, if you are tall and can't find what you need in ladies' robes.

This men's version of my robe, for example, also comes in talls.
