Saatva mattresses

Saatva mattresses are going to be presented on April 19th. I have been eyeing this company for awhile because it is an organic mattress. They are pricey and I didn't want to take the plunge. Does anyone have this mattress that would like to share their experience and thoughts? Thanks!

What is an organic mattress? I've very happy with our Beautyrest that I got for under $1,000 for a king.

If you search "saatva" under the "search forums and blogs" box at the top of the page, you will find some previous discussions about this brand, mostly positive I think.

I have heard, anecdotally, that they don't hold up well and have to be replaced fairly frequently. However, I have no personal experience with them. When we went shopping for a new mattress last year we ended up with a Stearns and Foster and are very happy with it.

Good luck; its an important decision and you want to get it right. I agree about the value of being able to exchange a mattress after a few weeks if it doesn't feel right for you.

I bought a saatva mattress in January. I like it very mich. I got the medium firm in a full ( double) size. It has an organic cotton cover, organic latex inside and is made in the USA. It took a month to get it, two guys in a truck delivered it, took the old mattress away. There were no odors coming off the mattress. I ordered with an $800 discount from the New York Times so it cost me a little over $1200. If you go to Saatva's website, they have a lot of good information.

Saatva allows you to return it for a year at a cost to you of $75.

I have a Saatva mattress in the classic version luxury firm. I am 70 years old and it is hands down thee best mattress I have every owned. We love it and very very comfortable. If it was the classic version that they were offering I would totally purchase one for my spare bedroom since I was planning on that in August anyhow. But I doubt that is the one they will offer. Dont know about the one thats on this website though.

I purchased a Saatva mattress five years ago and love it. It's holding up perfectly fine.

I purchased the queen size classic 14.5" plush soft mattress as I am a side sleeper. It's soft enough that I don't wake up aching from sleeping on my side but still provides firm enough support.

I suggest that anyone considering a purchase should visit the Saatva website and closely read the mattress descriptions to determine the best mattress type for them. They occasionally have sales, no reason to pay full price.

The delivery of my mattress was flawless, two guys brought in the mattress, unwrapped it, set it up on my bed frame, gathered up all the wrappings and hauled out the old mattress.

There is no box spring with my mattress. I had to purchase a foundation from Saatva which is basically a low box that the mattress sits on. The mattress is heavy and you need to make sure that your bed frame has enough cross supports to carry the weight. I have an iron bed frame so it was no problem for me.

I currently have 5 Saatva mattresses and had the 6th at a house we sold a few years ago. That one was over 10 years old. The ones here are from 2018. Some are only slept on occassionally, but it's prompted overnighters to buy their own Saatva mattresses for their homes.

They are great mattresses. No off-gassing, no toxic materials used. Made in USA. A year-long trial period, free removal if unsatified, lifetime warranty.

I also have pillows, both side sleepers and back sleepers and one set of their linen sheets.
