I was thinking about purchasing a cellphone from Mint Mobile ( which is my carrier) and they offer payment with Affirm. I don't know anything about it and would appreciate any feedback anyone could offer. Is this like a credit card, can you be turned down applying for it? Do they charge interest, is it safe?

I've never used Affirm but my understanding is it is expensive, 18 % + based on your credit so yep, you can be turned down. They do not issue a cc.

Do they offer PayPal Pay in 4? No interest or fees but the bill is broken down into 4 bi-weekly payments.

Affirm is an installment loan with a fixed payment schedule.. If you pay within 4 months, there is 0 interest.. If you choose longer terms from 3- 60 months depending on purchase the interest rate could be 0-36%. They do a soft credit check and if approved they do a hard check.
