Family Farms Reviews?

I have wavered on buying the bacon wrapped chicken breasts from Family Farms for ages. Every time they are presented I tell myself that even though I think the prices of food on QVC are ridiculously high.....the content of these chicken breasts and the price per pound seems acceptable.

Today I got a 20% coupon from QVC in the mail. It is useable for regular priced items through March 31.

This little piece of cardboard was enough to push me over the edge and my three cheese/cordon bleu combo pack will soon be here.

As a single person this is decidedly more than I ever spend on a food item so I am hoping that I am not disappointed with this shot in the dark impulse buy!

Have any of you out there in chat land had these bacon wrapped breasts? How did you like them?

We always keep a few of these in our freezer. One breast is two meals for me. We are fortunate to have these at our local grocers for $12.00 for two. Same product.

Always good to thaw first either over night in refrigerator or in bowl of water a few hours.

David Venable suggests searing on all sides in pan before putting in oven and I like that method to ensure bacon cooked & crispy.

Don't overcook or on too high of a temp as cheese will ooze out, slower & longer seems to work for us.

They are delicious and serve 2 depending on your appetite and or quantity of sides served.

And if you like the concept Corky's has bacon wrapped turkey stuffed minimally with cranberry dressing available seasonally that are delicious too. We keep both items in our freezer.

Yes I am!

Their website has a "Where to buy" page with a listing of stores with their products, some of them outside of WI.

I airfry the breasts for @ 35 minutes at 380 degrees. I do use a meat thermometer to test internal temp.

They also sell their products on Amazon.

I can get the chicken breasts (they also sell a pork loin) for $6.00 each from Menards.

I'm in Michigan.

Shop around.

I enjoy them, but realize they can be a bit salty, so I make certain to have minimal salt throughout the day.

I, too am envious of those who can find them locally.

@781Florist I have these on auto delivery. (Three cheese). Higher priced than I prefer, but I get 2 sometimes three meals out of the 14 oz portion. I cook 60-70 minutes in the oven to get the bacon crispy. I may try David's way, first pan frying. I'm going to see if available in PA stores. Wow, 2/$12 in WI is a much better price. I thaw a day in the fridge. I really enjoy these. I make at least one a week. For a dinner, salad topper, a protein snack.

Someone on my FB cooking group just mentioned that they purchase their meat/seafood products from a source called Good Chop. Had never heard of it before and checked it out........they offer beef, pork, seafood.

Wish we had more freezer space. I might try them out in the future.

I get them for $14.00 for 2 at my local grocery store. They are not worth the price QVC charges however. I always get 2 meals out of them.

Thanks for the website tip. Unfortunately they don't have them in our local stores here in the Denver metro area but I did see they have cajun chicken, yum!

Wish QVC would carry that one!

I have and put them in the air fryer turning half way through but no matter how you cook them they are sooo greasy. All I taste is bacon since chicken is so mild. I'll never get them again.

We have the cordon bleu on auto delivery, and enjoy them. I cook mine as David suggested, and they are wonderful. I pan fry mine to brown the bacon before I put them in my Ninja oven. The grease from the bacon is left behind in the skillet, and then they don't bake in it.

We will keep buying these as long as they are available.

I bought them from Amazon. Not your typical chicken taste but I thought they were good. Served with baked potato.

I'm alone and I got 4 meals out of 1. Made a sammy with the last bit.
