Got My Taxes done !

I do my own Federal and State every year so I finished yesterday, submitted online and got an acceptance email.

I'm a happy girl ! What's your plan? self prepare or preparer? Have you finished or still having to get them done? Here's wishing for a happy outcome

My "tax guy" of more than 20 years has either disappeared, retired, or worse... I need to find someone in my neighborhood. I really don't want to drive into the financial district...pay to park, etc. etc.

Usually do them myself in February. Can't believe it is almost mid-February. Need to get 'er done!

Went to track down my business attorney last week and he has gone AWOL and his license to practice is suspended.

I used to pay a CPA to do my taxes. Then, within 2 years, both of them died and I retired.

My sister's company CPA suggested an online service to her; he thought it was great and she didn't need to have them do it.

I don't have any other online services to compare it to, but I give it ten stars.

Mailed mine to my accountant today. As soon as he gets them, he calls & submits them.

When I was still working, I did them by the first week of February, the latest.

I like them getting them done early. If I am getting a refund, I want it NOW. LOL! If I have to pay, I can save up the $$ & submit it later.

I file the taxes for my us, our son and my sister every year.

My sister recently passed, so I only need to file for our son and ourselves.

I was waiting for my husband's pension info and it came two days ago.

I'll do our taxes this weekend and remind our son to bring his info to me so I can do his too.

I once paid someone to do them...tax accountant at my husband's urging. He, the tax accountant, came to the same figure as I did and we wasted $200. Never again.

I have a business and need to include taxes for that too.

@ Carmie my deepest sympathy for the loss of your sister. I learned how to do my taxes yrs ago so I stopped paying H&R block and kept the money in my pocket

We did our taxes on a Thursday and our federal refund was deposited in our checking account on the following Friday.

I had to find someone knew since I changed states. I asked in our Nextdoor app and also googled. Then I got an email from AARP that they are at various libraries in our county.

I called today and got a return call this evening. My appt to bring them in is March 24. The person who I will meet with asked if there's anything she should know (did I sell a home, etc.). I did tell her I moved back to NY in October. But that's it.

I better get a refund!

Awesome !! Enjoy ! I usually get my state refund back within a week and before the Federal but it's usually only a few days later.

Same with me, my taxes are complicated this year. so I am dragging my feet.

As for when I will file, I have started gathering documents. I hope to drop mine off to the tax preparer early March.

H&R Block , my tax person completed mine yeasterday. Both Federal and State accepted, my refund for both state and Federal is money I had withheld.

When I walked out my front door my new passport was in my mailbox. Taxes completed and new passport-yea!

My voice is hoarse.
