That is so sad to hear, Dolly did mention that she was cutting back on her schedule to take care of her husband due to his declining health. Rest in peace, Carl Dean.

They were married for almost 60 years. This is the only photo I have ever seen of him, it was on the People web site. Taken in the mid 1980's

People Magazine said the below is the last photo taken of him in 2019, in Brentwood Tennessee.

They truly were private they got married in May 1966 so close to the 60 year anniversary. The only people at the simple wedding was the preacher and his wife.

Dolly is very private about her personal life. I believe she reduced her schedule to help care for him & spend more time at home. I believe he had Alzheimer’s disease

I heard this morning she and he met this first day she went to Nashville, they seemed they were opposites, but it worked.

Seems like they had a good life, and worked at maintaining their marriage in spite of their differing personalities. I'm so sorry for Dolly.
