CATHERINE, PRINCESS OF WALES VISITS CHILDREN'S HOSPICE

After visiting a hospital where she received chemotherapy, the Princess spent time at Ty Hafan, a children's hospice near Cardiff in Wales.

She visited with the young patients, and also spent time with bereaved families connected to the facility.

Must have been a bright day for both Catherine and patients.

Nice to see her continue to look so well.

Interesting-- one observer has said that she has been paying subtle tribute to Diana lately, in her fondness for both plaids and prairie style dresses, also a favorite of the late princess--

Catherine continues to be gracious, elegant, caring and loving. I am sure she lifted the spirits of many at the hospital and her smile was so bright. I hope she continues to have good health , she is an asset to the royal family.

Agreed, @Spacrazy . I thought at first, boy, it would be emotionally taxing, especially for her right now-- interacting with the children who are so very sick, and many terminally so, and then also meeting the parents and familes who have sustained such wrenching losses.

But the act of reaching out to them, with good cheer, is such an important part of the job, and is no doubt, very good for her too.

Agree @Oznell ... on the televised portion of the visit I got to see you could just see spirits being lifted. The few patients making comments exclaiming ~ if she can do it, I can, too. Beautiful lady in so many ways.

She is an amazing lady. She has brains, a heart, and courage. She always has a beautiful smile on her face. You can see how much she loves and adores her husband and children.
