We used to go to SF Giants Spring Training camp in Scottsdale Arizona. Saw Mr. Uecker many times around the different Spring Training games and restaurants. He was a great baseball guy. RIP Bob.

Bob Uecker left his mark in the baseball world and was a great announcer. The announcers in today's games pale in comparison to Uecker and Mel Allen , another legend. May Bob rest in peace, he contributed much to the sports world.

He was still announcing Brewer games last season. What I remember is how funny he was on late night talk shows. He had a good story on any topic under the sun.

We went to Scottsdale AZ SF Giants Spring Training a lot for several years during the Bruce Bochey days. So much fun!

And Vin Scully too! Even though he announced the bums ha term for the Dodgers since the 1800's he was great.

DH and I often make "front row" comments, a la Bob Uecker, when good seating or a good parking spot happen. We've done it for years.

Yes, Vin Scully is in the announcer legend category! I agree. There are others I'm sure but the present announcers for my team are annoying and blah!!!!!!

Bob Uecker was a St. Louis Cardinal also and was traded here and played in the 1964 World Series. Mr. Baseball. Rest in Peace.

Tried to integrate with the Rockies. Not easy didn't work.

The sound of his voice just takes me back to lazy summer days laying out in the back yard in a lounge chair listening to a baseball game on the radio. I'm not really a baseball fan but that is pure summertime relaxation!!!

I'm right there with you in summer remembrance!

Different broadcasters, mine would be Russ Hodges & Lon Simmons announcing for the SF Giants.

Same scenario though on a lounge chair in the summer.

@rockygems123 Roger Craig was the one for me. Loved that guy and he took us through some banner years. Then there was Baker, Alou and along came Boch. He took us to our glory years. Loved him too. I mean... 3 World Series???!!! Baseball was a huge part of my husband and my lives for 40 years. After I lost my husband in 2017 I could no longer watch or even read about baseball anymore. Not any fun alone and it made me miss my baseball buddy too much. But we had a great run and I am grateful for that.
