Kitty-------just my opinion, but the one with Kate was nothing like the one with Joan. I really didn't enjoy all the nudity and dragged out filler. I guess I feel that Joan is the keeper of the flame. You might enjoy it, just not my cup of tea. Have a lovely day.

I loved Carol Burnett's version of "Mildred Fierce".....

I TiVo'd every one of the JC movies last night. Today, I'm seeing that there are more. I'll be busy for a few days. I love the old black and white movies. Last week, I saw a couple of Lana Turner movies and a couple of weeks ago, I saw Rebecca, Suspicion, etc., with Joan Fontaine.

I'm also addicted to Alfred Hitchcock and have them all recorded. I don't hardly watch any real TV anymore since I found TCM and HBO. Never knew we had it.

And Eve Arden (?) is perfect in that supporting role.

I so agree about Ms. Arden, she is truly the little treasure in this film.

HBO's mini series was really good, and received a ton of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and wins. I really liked the mini series, but, of course, the original 'Mildred Pierce' is the best. I never get tired of watching it!

Ann Blythe was wonderful as the daughter and the part was so out of character for her. I also loved Jack Carson in Mildred Pierce.

it was very well done and followed the book much more closely than the original movie did.
