I love Christmas music. I like to listen in my car and at home. We subscribe to Sirius.

Like a lot of us December was a blur. I knew I'd have some free time after Christmas, so I would look forward to listening a lot then.

Imagine my surprise when I turned it on DECEMBER 26 and there was not one SiriusXM station playing Christmas music of any kind!

They used to take a away January 2, which also upset me because I thought they should play it until after the 6th. I know - that's a little much to ask for!

So SiriusXM people, if you see this - LOL! - Advent comes after Thanksgiving. Thank you for starting music then. This year Christmas and Hanukkah are on the 25th. Kwanzaa is on the 26th. In the Old English tradition, the Twelve Days of Christmas starts on December 26 and ends on January 6, which is also the Christian Epiphany. Greek Orthodox Christmas is January 7.

KEEP CHRISTMAS MUSIC PLAYING UNTIL AT LEAST JANUARY 2!

The holiday season hasn't ended yet for a lot of us!

@beach-mom. Why don't you contact Sirius and tell them? I never heard of a radio station playing holiday music after Christmas.

Most people have heard enough by Dec. 26th.

@Kachina624 - Since I'm not on Facebook I plan to do just that. I have always heard holiday music until New Year's Day. Not this year.

If you have Xfinity Comcast cable tv, there are a bunch of music channels of different genres. They are still playing Christmas songs on the "seasonal" channel.

@beach-mom SiriusXM plays Holiday Traditions year-around on Channel 602. Your subscription probably includes it. If you can get it on your phone app, you can put it on your Alexa or your car radio via bluetooth from your phone. You have to connect your Alexa to your phone via the app, and I really don't know how to connect it to the car radio, but my son tells me I can.

@beach-mom you are right! I've had XM in my vehicles since 2012? Such a great companion on a long commute or road trip.

They always played Christmas music until Jan 2, but not this year!

I'm not on FB either but I will call and complain tomorrow!

Yes! I was just listening to it today. No need for complaints unless you don't have it in your subscription plan. As a matter of fact, all of the holiday channels are still playing on the app. I just checked them all.

@PA Mom-mom , if you have Apple CarPlay in your car's app list, you would connect it through that. Or, I just open my Sirius app on my iPhone and plug it into the charger. It then appears in my car's CarPlay screen

I understand. While listening to Christmas music really doesn't matter all that much to me I get it. I was super busy for over two weeks getting the house ready with extra cleaning, decorating, wrapping, menu planning, etc.

The day before it is those little details like putting the leaves in the dining room table, putting a wrinkle free table cloth on (I run mine through steam clean in the dryer), getting out the various serving dishes and utensils that I rarely use.

Silly extras like making sure I have enough hangers in the coat closet and moving some of my coats to another closet so there is room for company coats....the list seems endless and it is exhausting!

My daughter and her family left the afternoon of the 26th and the following two days I just chilled and relaxed. I still need to take down decorations and the tree but I don't feel the stress to do that like before the holiday....it's a good time to relax and listen to your favorite music.

I've had SiriusXM in my suv since 2013 when I bought it and I love listening to the Christmas music and yes they have played it after Christmas. I downloaded SiriusXM

to my bedroom and living room TV also. Bummer not continuing the Holiday music !

Thanks @PA Mom-mom. I have an older car, and the channel choices for Sirius don't go that high.

DD can probably show me how to download from the home receiver, but I just want to turn the car system on and listen while I'm driving. I listen mostly to "The Blend." Sometimes I'll pull up the news or my favorite comedy channel with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, etc!

i have to agree.....wish they would keep ALL the holiday channels going through at least january 6th via the app, the car, and on my alexa device.

i can still listen to HOLIDAY TRADITIONS all year long via the app and my alexa device. most of the other channels are gone. HOLLY is on the app through january 8th. NAVIDAD is on the app through january 8th. NEW YEARS NATION is on through january 3rd. RADIO HANUKKAH is on through january 3rd.

i found myself listening to mostly jimmy fallon holiday seasoning channel and the hallmark holiday channel.

@haddon9 - Your preparations are what I dream of!

I think of decorating to Christmas music with snacks and hot cider or chocolate. I picture myself relaxing and enjoying a Christmas magazine.

However . .

. . . I was out of the house for meetings and events- some fun ones too. When I was home I was mostly writing, dealing with paperwork, and arranging help for some families and children.

DH decorated our (real) tree, and I planned meals. The time went fast! DS added some ornaments when he got home. Both DD and DS helped make Christmas dinner.

I will enjoy our decorations until January 6. Christmas will switch to snowmen and winter!
