Memories of Mom 🥰

When I went outside this morning there was bright sunshine and more than A ****** in the air. My mom and I called this good shopping weather. She was my best shopping buddy, shopping and lunch out was our happy time. For some reason we considered this prime shopping weather. We always remember the big, important things, but this morning I remembered shopping with my mom. Also whenever I see geese I say "hi mom,"she love geese and flying and I like to think of her flying free. I miss you mom ! ☹️

I also miss the shopping days with my mom @QVCkitty1 . This is back when shopping at the mall was a big thing. She was always up for shopping.

Yes, I miss shopping with my mom too. Was thinking about her this morning as I was starting to go through some of her things. Shopping and lunch was our thing. I miss having a cup of coffee with her too and talking about much of nothing.

I always think of some of the cruises I went on with my mom in later years. Best times I ever had. She was always up for shopping anywhere too, especially in the malls.

I miss my mom too--we always went shopping together but our xmas shopping was always the best. After shopping put her xmas tree up the next day and her little village under the tree--wonderful memories. I also miss her homemade chocolate pie.

I'll be different. I didn't ever go shopping or to lunch with my mom. She never wanted a daughter or me. There aren't reall any good memories of her as she wa an unhappy person in an uhappy situation (or so she thought). A very bad example of a mom/person.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Mama....miss her so much. I loved shopping with her too, but I also loved how she would just show up at my office with lunch...in the cooler months she would bring her homemade soups....so delicious and sometimes she would bring The whole pot to share with my office, my co-workers loved her too.....sweet sweet memories.

@Puzzle Piece I'm so sorry, I know I was lucky, so many are not. She missed out on some good times.

I am truly happy for those that have those wonderful memories. I did not, but tried to fill the emptiness by going above and beyond for my sweet daughter.

It turned out well for us, and I hope she reflects back with good memories when I am gone. ❤️❤️❤️

I have treasured memories of being with my mother; shopping and lunch were always so much fun!

My mother passed 28 years ago but her kind and loving smile will remain in my heart always.

Shopping with my mom is a great memory. We lived in the Pittsburgh area when I was a kid before the malls came... My dad would drive us to town and we would go to all the big department stores. Everyone "dressed up" to go shopping back then... especially during the holidays. My mom always wore her little black and white Spectator shoes. 🤗. We would shop and then go to the Tic Toc restaurant in Kaufmanns (later known as Macys) for lunch. Before Christmas we would spend at least an hour looking for the perfect Christmas card and sentiment. Mom was very particular about choosing the card. She and my dad sent out at least 50 or more cards each year.
As the years went by...with the passing of my dad, and moving away from Pittsburgh... my mom and I still enjoyed shopping at local malls and lunch at Perkins. Every time I go there now with my grandkids, I think of her.

I lost my mom 31 years ago and think about her this time of year along with many of my relatives who passed. My mom had two sisters who were the shoppers and have more memories shopping with them. I would say I had three great moms. They did not have any children of their own and my mom had seven so plenty to go around. They lived on one corner and we lived on the other. Great times especially at Christmas.

I'm glad you have wonderful memories of your mom. Holidays sure can be bitter sweet at times.

I read all of the beautiful memories with moms and some that were unfortunately not beautiful memories so I am wishing blessings and happy holidays to you all. My mom was a big shopper in her younger days with us and so much fun but as she got older she had trouble getting around so we didn't shop together we shopped for her. She ended up in a nursing home where she passed on to heaven from Covid in 2020 but the time we had together was precious.
