Fed up with shipping/delivery

It is so frustrating when you place an order and it says "packaging" immediately where you cannot cancel if you change your mind and then it takes 2 weeks before you receive the item. One is coming from the next state over. This has happened twice with me...one with HSN and one with QVC. I'm still waiting for the items...delivery dates keep changing. I order craft supplies from the UK that I receive in five days! I'm done!!

QVC and HSN shipping times take way too long. If the items show available they should be shipped quickly or at least in a reasonable amount of time. They stay in "preparing your order" too long.

Exactly....original delivery date was 12/9, then it was supposed to arrive tomorrow and now it says "delay in delivery date".

I quit ordering any gifts from either QVC or HSN. I paid extra one year for quick delivery, only to have it take over a week to arrive. Unreliable delivery and difficult return policy make both shopping sites low on my priority list.

@monicakm Do you have an idea where QVC can earn the millions they most likely need? Like many Forum posters, I've purchased from QVC for years, but I began scaling back in 2012. Nothing they could sell nor any change in the presentations will ever again convince me to accumulate again. I'm still shopping here, but I spend less in whole years than I once spend in a few weeks. Virtually everything I buy now will be used up within a few months.

I believe QVC knows it's troubled but what's the solution. I believe they need to attract investors, not just customers. If you ever watch Shark Tank, you know investors who don't need the money in the same way many people do still invest to earn a profit. It's a rough world for the smaller fish in the economic seas. Qurate is big when it comes to being on TV, but in the bigger field investors have available it's a small fish. Tough world out there for the small fish in any ocean!

I ordered something from Wayfair Tuesday night and it is being delivered this morning. QVC should step up its delivery time. What is worse is the time period you need to wait to get your refund.

How were these shipped? Most of Q and HSN packages are shipped parcel post, the lowest priority and slowest mail. Parcel post sits until post offices can get to it.

It's December and mail is crazy busy so I'm not surprised it's delayed.

IMHO, anyone who orders from Q or H after 12/1 is taking a chance unless they pay extra for fast shipping.

I dont think QVC will change anything wrong, unless what QVC values most, is no longer available to QVC.

Same dynamic as disciplining children. ->

I love the way I can drop off my amazon return at UPS, and I have the credit on my card immediately, often before I get back home. And free return shipping. Their customer service is what keeps me ordering. Returned a throw to Q 10 days ago by the same UPS method and just now received email from Q that they have received my return and refund will show on my card in 2 billing cycles (8 weeks). Of course I had to pay return shipping, so it cost me $8 just to look at the throw. Q needs to up their game, but I doubt they are financially able to do so. I order just a tiny fraction of what I used to order from them and HSN 30 years ago. Time changes everything.

The downside to attracting investors is that they become shareholders. Big corporations always cater to shareholders and have big goals for rewarding them with profits.

It wouldn't help customers or speed up anything -- that's was proven after corporate taxes were slashed in 2017 to supposedly help them upgrade. Instead they did buybacks and paid out more to shareholders/CEOs and let countless employees go.

Q needs to get its shipping and returns departments out of the 1980s. I doubt they will because it'll cost them money.

I doubt they've done any serious upgrades to their shipping and returns systems in the last 20 years.
They need adequate staff handling shipping and returns.
They need to have products shipped faster when coming directly from a vendor. Vendor shipped is always a lot slower.
They need to focus on customer satisfaction, not entertainment. Happy customers buy more than unhappy customers.
Slow returns processing means they earn interest etc on our money for a longer period of time.

I ordered something from Amazon yesterday afternoon and it's already out for delivery.

I ordered from Lands End on Friday and it was delivered yesterday.

I ordered from Macy's last Thursday and it arrived yesterday.

I learned long ago to not rely on Q for prompt shipping or returns processing.

Amazon is still the only place that delivers the day I order it. I ordered at 9:00am and they said between 5:00pm and 10:00pm delivery. It arrived at 6:00pm

I only order knowing that QVC is not ahead of the retail curve. Really quite outdated!

They need to come into this century with their shipping.

Maybe the Customer should have the benefit of a new policy that says if your purchases stay in the "packaging" status for longer than three days, they will automatically be cancelled. You know, the same way QVC sucks an item out of your cart after 1 hour!

I agree. I needed to needed to order eye drops. Ordered them from Amazon at 9:30 am, they were delivered at 2 pm.

You're fortunate. My Lands End orders now take as long to get to me as QVC orders.

All I can say is that I was pleased with the shipping for my last order from HSN. When I purchased the item it stated on the Order Summary the Estimated Arrival was going to be 12/14/24. I received the order yesterday morning.

Typically, for the most part, I try not to order any gifts after 12/1. Two items I ordered from the Q Sunday, arrived yesterday. I don't seem to have luck with Lands End either. Typically 10-14 days. My last order was 13 days. EBAY 3-5 unless I order on a Saturday, sometimes a few extra days. Amazon, no prime 4-5 days. I'm ok with all these dates. Q usually 5-7 days, this week was fast.

I have had great success with both QVC and HSN on my recent purchases.

Much better than 2 recent Amazon orders.

Bashing QVC is funny and humorous, particularly when posters say they don't buy from them!

The Anti-Corporatist who applauds Amazon really cracks me up! Big time.
