My DH loves the Copperfit socks but he went to a drugstore that sells them to be fit before he ordered them from Q. We also have a Good Feet Store that I'm trying to drag him to for a fitting to try special shoes, they specialize in orthopedics. He is just too stubborn to go and thinks that Skechers are all he needs but his feet and legs hurt so I'm trying to get him to a specialist. (been down the podiatrist route-he thinks the pain is in his leg so a podiatrist can't help and I cannot convince him otherwise.)

I have tried to find comfortable socks for years. The problem for me is that the top of the sock may have a band that cuts into my leg over time during the day. I've found that a sock labeled for a "diabetic" has a top that doesn't cut into my leg. Even a lot of compression socks have a "band" at the top. I suggest looking for socks labeled for a "diabetic". The issue for me is keeping the sock up and not binding.

You might want to google compression stockings.

You will come up with the medical grade ones such as Medi and jobst and there are also the "generic" named ones of the particular site. They have differing strength.

If the person has circulation issues these are the ones that be of help to them.

I recently bought the Tommy Copper over the calf compression socks from QVC. I bought the wide calf version so they wouldn't be tight at the top. (V83882) They don't hurt at all and seem to be very good for my ankles and feet. I have arthritis and will sometimes end up with some swelling in my ankles and feet at the end of a 4 or 5 hour drive. Last week I wore them while driving across the state, and there was no swelling at all. I don't know if this translates into good circulation, but I can attest to the comfort. The only problem I have is getting them over my very wide feet and bunions. But they are not uncomfortable at all.

@RedTop Sketchers kill my feet too, and my doctor told me to get rid of them.

I recently tried Wellow Compression Socks and I really like them over other compression socks that I have tried. Including Bombas. The Wellow socks are not tight on the top, comfortable and keep my feet warm. You can easily fold the top down too.

They are expensive though.

May not be the most asthetically pleasing look but I have started cutting off the top portion of the socks where the elasting portion is and just using them like that. I buy the longer socks and they don't show underneath slacks and inside of boots, etc. I just can't stand elastic in socks at all - it's the binding and also this makes me break out.
