QVC SHARED OUR PERSONAL INFO?

Dont know if this is a scam. I was just on facebook and a post (from an attorney) says you may be eligible for up to $2500 because QVC may have shared your personal info. It then goes into a 3 minute survey to fill out to see if you qualify. Anyone seen this? Is it real or a scam? FYI I didnt fill it out.

There was a post about this a few weeks ago. I went to the website and QVC isn't even listed as one of the companies they're researching. Complete click bait.

Apparently, lots of people don't read before signing up for any website or membership ... like QVC's Standards, for instance.

In many cases, your information is fair game unless you OPT OUT.

Keep an eye on that kind of thing.

@FLGranny. You ought to know better than to trust what's said in a Facebook ad. There is no proof anywhere qvc sold any information.

That ad has been running for several months and is definitely a grab for your personal information, a scam.

@MoJoV. I disagree. Facebook doesn't monitor the truthfulness of their ads but there are parts I thoroughly enjoy, namely the special interest groups. I've learned so much from them and enjoy interacting with others who have similar interests.

I have to agree with @Kachina624, I love interacting with folks that share my interests and I alo love re-connecting with folks that I lost contact with many years ago. The special interest groups have helped us with repairs and remodeling in our motorhome, and actually helped us find this unit which we purchased. I can't begin to think about how many cats have been helped through the rescue groups. Our last two rescues were flown into our local airport by a terrific group, it saved these 2 cat's lives since they were in a kill shelter. Lots of good can come about from FB.

@CalminHeart. If you choose carefully, you can find some nice things. I've got a couple of contour back pillows, one large for bed and a smaller one for my chair. They have virtually saved my back and allow me to get good sleep. I've never seen them sold elsewhere.

I also got a nice watch several years ago.
