Back to bed !

For some reason I thought my hair appt. was this morning. I was looking in my wallet to make sure I had tip money and I saw my appt. card. I'm booked for next Friday ! Who knows why I'm a week ahead, I don't care, I'm going back to bed. I'm just relieved that I didn't actually show up, now that would have been embarrassing !

I had a dear lady I had not seen in a couple of years and we got jury duty at the same time so we were able to catch up while waiting for the process to begin. Nancy mentioned the date to me and how she had been dreading it to finally come. I told her it was not the 16th that day but the 9th. She was a week early for her jury summons. The County Clerk allowed her to stay and took her off the next week's list. I would imagine the next week she was mighty grateful to have it behind her.

It can happen the other way around too…

Last Friday I booked a contact lens fitting appt and the lady asked, How’s next Tuesday at 2:30pm? I said next Tuesday at 2:30 would be Great and that I couldn’t believe I could get in that soon.

We talked about how long my appt would take and how much it would cost. Then she said, We’ll see you next week and I said I’ll see you next Tuesday at 2:30!

I show up Tuesday at 2:30pm and the receptionist tells me she can’t find me in the book? Then says it was booked for Wednesday at 2:30pm. 🥴

Thankfully they worked me in. 😂

Hi @JoyFilledWarrior… I’m not quite sure what happened in a prior thread or post. I never got a chance to read it. But the reason why I’m posting is not to use the term “ PTSD” lightly. If u want to say you’re stressed or angry from the prior nasty post-fine. My husband was in Combat and served in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart because he was shot and thankfully survived . He has PTSD along w/ many other Veterans. That’s where the term is used appropriately.

I am sorry but I did not follow you in the slightest. One of my favorite posters is @QVCkitty1 and when I see her name anywhere I am there. You had absolutely nothing to do with my posting on this thread "joy warrior".

I got an urgent eye appt for my dad, office wrote, Monday and the date to match. Got to the office, no appts Monday. 1st office wrote the wrong date and day. The appt was for Tuesday. No dr was in just office staff. Staff felt terrible. Things happen. We went back the next day, at least we didn't miss it. I know things happen, but a half day wasted.

@QVCkitty1 Don't feel bad, I actually showed up once, a week early for my hair appointment! Thankfully, I have known my stylist for many years and she is a dear friend...we both had a good laugh over it. 😂
