Praying for all. My brother-in-law also lives in Florida and he is in the hospital in hospice now. Stay safe.

I have a great uncle and an aunt that are inland on the "dirty" side of the hurricane. They, and all of Florida, are in my prayers!!

My sister has a dear friend in the Tampa area. So far this year she had flooding in her house from the last hurricane to hit the area, her husband died unexpectedly and now she won't evacuate because she cares for special needs relatives. We're so worried about her.

Sending prayers for everyone in Florida. We were hit by Francine 2 weeks ago so I know the drill.

My DIL is a St. Pete native and her mom still lives in Clearwater. Keeping her in my prayers, too.

I'm glad we chose to purchase a home inland when we moved to Florida in 2018. Ironically because after taking a quick look at coastal areas in the Tampa Bay Area we got sticker shock. Lol. We are the retired couple that's NOT being targeted by wealth management advisors 😁

So we have been happy and blessed, living in Lakeland. Affordable. And so far the hurricanes have not hit our area too hard. That said, everyone prepares as if it will be bad. This is a humongous storm so effects will be felt across the state

@smoochy Well said. This is a huge storm but is predicted to hit the panhandle of Florida.

Once a "storm" gets over the Gulf, they tend to have a mind of their own. MANY have changed paths! Many!

So far, Helene will stay off shore but the storm reaches for miles!

Assuming the bright circle is the "eye" the storm seems to be on the right upper side of the eye. That area is big enough to cover the whole state.

The storm is 300 miles wide and Florida is 150 miles wide! Won't all be hurricane conditions though!

Some will get lots of rain and some high wind gusts!

Your prayers are all welcomed for out safety and minimum property loss! Not just in Florida, in Helene's path!
