Hulkan Bag Problem

I recently purchased the medium size Hulkan bag. This is an accident waiting to happen. The wheels turn all over the place when using to long handle alongside you. The bag turns on its own, to the right then left, then front. Seniors, this creates a real balance problem. Sometimes the bag ends up in back of you and your foot hits it, sometimes the bag end up in front of you. I do not know how the creator said she used it on the NYC streets. I did and ended up having people help me cross the road as they dragged it. They remarked how unsteady it was. I so wanted to make this work. Now I will use it for storage where it cannot pose a mobility problem.

That sounds dangerous, thank for telling about the shortcomings. I usually look for pull handles that are metal or solid, are these solid or are they leather? I get better control using rigid pull handles-I have very weak wrists and hands.

Can't you send it back?

That's a lot of money to let sit in the closet as a storage bag.

Definitely return it. Call CS and tell them about your experience. They can flag your account to comp the return shipping.

I agree! I would send it back and maybe you can get return shipping paid for as well by mentioning that it's defective. It sounds like it was poorly designed.

I have a trolley that I use for my craft class. It's very steady and doesn't tip over.

It's not as cute as the Hulkan bag....it reminds me of those old fashioned granny carts. My mother and grandmother both had one....now I guess I have one as well!

I ordered the large bag with the recent TSV. I have not yet received it. I debated ordering it, but did based on it's lower price and previous popularity. Even so, I wasn't certain I would keep it. Your review has helped me to decide that I will be returning it. I too questioned it's mobility, especially in tight spaces. Potenially causing it to be a hazard not only to myself, but to someone else. Also, it's functionality and use seems very limited for the price.

Return the item. Too expensive to keep if you are not satisfied with it.

I really don't see the value in this bag. I watched the presentation and thought to myself if I lived in the city and had to drag that thing over sidewalk cracks and uneven surfaces, it would be a disaster. Better off buying the little trolly and attaching your bag to that. The trolly has heaftier wheels and you pull it and it doesn't go rogue in any direction. I bet these bags are returned in droves.

Yes, I have the Trolley and it is great, lightweight and stable. The wheels are solid and stay in one direction. Highly recommend.
