Speaking of groceries do you remember when you had to put $200 worth of groceries in your trunk…

AND now $200 worth fits in your passenger seat. 😳

You must have a huge car if $200 worth of groceries can fit in your passenger seat. Seems like an exaggeration to me. Where I live $200 worth would definitely have to go in the trunk.

I go to a salon where the owner is the only stylist, she only charges me $95 for a cut and color. I've been going to her for five years.

Hair cut with shampoo, blow dry and style is $35.00

$75 for a shampoo, color, blow dry....but I quit coloring my hair last year

Shampoo, cut, color (base/foil so 2 processes), style is $120. That being said, I go to my niece, and I know I'm not paying what she charges others.

Yes, I can easily fit $200 worth of groceries on my front passenger seat. Every time I go to the food store, I'm amazed by the bill and think, "what the heck did I buy that cost so much?"

I color my hair myself, but a haircut (before tip) usually runs me sixty dollars. And that's NOT at a high end salon.

I pay $25.00 for a haircut, but don't color my hair. A haircut is only the only salon service I receive.

I pay $65 for a cut and color. I do get a "senior" (hate that word) discount at the salon though. My niece manages a Super Cuts so we both go to her for our hair. When we lived further away from her salon and went somewhere else we paid twice that so it works for us!

Every 8 wks. I spend $75 for a cut/shampoo and blow dry. On alternate appointments, I get low lights which adds another $125. Of course when add on a tip...it's ridiculously expensive!!!

I tell myself I save on manis/pedis and facials by doing them myself, so this is my one "me day".

I haven't been to a salon for a cut since the pandemic. I learned how to cut my own hair and I never went back.

I get my hair cut at Great Clips and she does a great job. $16.

I color my own hair. $8.99.

My cut and color is $110 before tip. I go about every 7 weeks. I used to go every 5-6 weeks and pushed it out to 7 weeks. It's a nice salon, I would say medium price range here.

My stylist is expensive but he's never given me a bad cut. I'm very happy when I leave the salon each time. I also only get highlights 2x a year....no other color.

I get my hair cut every 6 weeks and I last had highlights in May. I plan on getting highlights again early in November.

Cuts are $90.00 and highlights vary between $65.00-$100.00 depending on if you get a face frame or full head.

I used to spend a fortune on haircuts - before I retired and my stylist of 30 years retired.

I found a stylist at a small shop who cuts my hair for a senior price of $16. She does a great job. It includes a cut and blow dry. I shampoo before I go.

Cut, color, blow-dry is $125 with tip. (Color alone is $99.)

With tip, it's $135 for cut, color, blow out. That's in Phoenix and is about average for mid-level salon

I just went yesterday and it was for a cut, color (retouch), blow out and it was $130.00 (before tip). It's a mid level salon. The last time I had highlights (May?) I think it was $200 or $250 (can't remember). I go every four weeks because my hair grows like crazy. I just budget for it every month. Everything is expensive and this is just one more thing.

I pay $55 for a shampoo, cut (pixie) and blow dry. Before the pandemic, I was paying a barber $25 for the same cut. Unfortunately, they never reopened after the pandemic.

I buy our groceries at BJ's so it isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. However, the only way I get out of BJ's for less than $200 if is I redeem my BJ's credit card rewards. That's an order of less than 15 items without any pricey items, using my BJ's coupons.
