I just don't get it, you hate Lisa, you don't shop at QVC etc, etc, so why do you hang out on this board? I love Lisa and guess what, I have a college degree in fashion (love that comment about how she does not have a degree and does not know fashion, but I am wondering how many of you actually do). I thought that these boards were for people who want to discuss purchases and how they work and what they recommend. Yes, there are things that we don't like, but others do. This is a board for discussion, not abuse. Come on people, you are adults.

Bobsey, my thoughts exactly. A lot of the threads are now rude personal criticisms of hosts and products that many many like but posters try to make others feel stupid for liking them.

Opinions can be stated in such a way as to not make others wrong for having an opposing opinion. So many posting here (and many say they buy very little or don't buy at all here) think their opinion is the right one and no one should have their own opinion.

To state a host doesn't present enough info is one thing but to say a host should be fired for dressing a certain way or wearing their hair or makeup a certain way is not what these boards are here for. Maybe they should have a category labeled haters for those types of posts.

I stopped shopping at Q many years ago because of the decreased quality, higher prices, and exorbitant S&H. I like having conversations in the many categories here that don't necessarily have anything to do with shopping here. Of course, the Q has created these boards in the hope that it will increase sales by virtue of discussing and recommending their products amongst posters, but that does not mean you have to only discuss Q's products.

It is constantly put out there by many posters that this is a public forum, etc. The show the items, the hosts, don't have to be a topic of discussion. Many come here to connect with another poster/posters, share, offer forth opinions, and...........that's all. You will find those that bash the Q for whatever reasons but they return to discuss other topics or write in.

It's not for YOU to decide who can post what, where, when. That's up to the webmaster. And you aren't him/her. You can either ignore stuff you don't like, or tattle to webbie.

I have several products I order regularly from QVC, but I do not like to watch ANY programming demonstrations or listen to ANY of the hosts. I keep up with the products on the website.

Same here, pretty much. I get a few things on auto-delivery and now and then I pick up an item or two. But watching can be torturous since they have become so manic about everything. But I don't think that any of us have to explain ourselves.

One strange thing on this board, I've noticed over the past several years, is that it's always open-season on Lisa R. But if anybody says anything that is perceived as 'bashing' about other hosts they are ripped a new one. Yet, much of the Lisa 'bashing' is truly vile - and universally accepted. Whatever - I just don't participate. Sure, I've shared my critiques about a few hosts, here and there, but it's not anything personal. There are some that I find so difficult to watch I'd rather have my heart cut out with a dull knife. But it's about their hosting ability. But I keep most of those thoughts to myself anyway.

Exactly. I don't think QVC is as good as it used to be, but I certainly don't "hate" any of the hosts, and it's not that I don't like QVC. It's more that I rarely enjoy their programming anymore and I have found more interesting products and better prices elsewhere. So I haven't actually purchased anything from QVC in several years.

But clearly the forums are about more than QVC products and QVC hosts. That's why many of us continue to read and post here. The forum categories clearly cover a wide variety of topics, many having nothing at all to do with QVC.

In any case, people have the right to express their opinions. QVC certainly doesn't expect viewers to like every host or be happy with every product.

I wondered that too.

Some are so used to posting here and have established some posting friends so they've become comfortable with the forums and it's a place for them to hang out.

This board consists of people who do shop here and that is evident by all the threads and then there are some posters who just like to snark and even "bully" others. I don't think they realize how miserable they sound.

I don't think it's "either/or". Many of us who don't buy from QVC also don't snark and bully. As former buyers and occasional watchers (and even if we weren't!), we are just as entitled to post here as anyone else.

It's certainly not as though the "people who do shop here" are respectful of others, and the rest of us are not. It's pretty obvious that plenty of people who buy from QVC are quite expert at snarking and bullying.

In general, I would think people would post on sites that interested them. I don't purchase a lot on QVC, but watch enough to be interested in the host blogs and what is being said on these boards.
