NEED ORANGUTAN ARMS! 😂😂

DH and I are in San Diego for a few days for a change of pace and to get out of the heat. It's been a looooong hoooot summer.

We have a lovely suite by the water, fresh sea air blowing in, listening to seagulls, and there's almost 40 degrees difference in temperature! Fantastic!

However, the thing that caught me by surprise was this!

Look at the distance between the commode and the TP holder. lol.... No way to reach it. I removed the TP and put it on the tank. Who was the genius who planned this?

If you have not yet checked out, or even if you have, I'd point that out to the hotel management. It's an easy fix, what a careless installation!

Last year one of the hotels we stayed at flooded the bathroom when I took a shower. The water ran down the wall to ledge of bathtub where it ran down to floor. I saw it was happening when I was in the shower but I had to take a shower so I just let it flood the bathroom.

DH took a shower after me & let it flood the bathroom again. We threw all the towels on the floor which were all dirty when we got finished trying to dry the floor.

DH called the office to tell them they could come get all their soaking wet towels we had to dry the floor & they needed to finish drying the floor. We should have left it all for them to clean up. They know this is happening but not fixing it.

I walked down the hall to tell the maid I was sorry about the mess but there was no way we could keep the water from running all over the floor. She smiled & said yes I know?

I should have wrote down what hotel is was so we never stay there again?

OH my! That's funny except for the first time you use it and realize the toilet paper is across the room.

Our last cruise, the paper was located on a holder behind the toilet. My arm couldn't reach that far so I put a roll nearby.

Personally, I would call the front desk, ask who the Manager on duty is, and ask they be paged to come to my room. Speaking on the phone won't do, MAKE them come to you so you can show them the problem.

This is unacceptable in a regular room, but in a SUITE .... uh, no, no way.

i bet they'd comp you a little something for the "inconvenience".

The other alternative is to go to the hotel website, write a complaint and attach the photo. It's looks at least 3 feet from the commode!

This is truly ridiculous.

That's too funny. When I saw the title of your post, I thought you were referring to actual orangutans! They are quadridextrous ( can use all four limbs sort of interchangeably!) Since you are in San Diego, I hope you had an opportunity to meet the precious orangutans at the zoo! And, I'm pretty sure that they would be able to reach that toilet paper roll!! 😂🤣😂🤣. I would be concerned about the flooding especially if it is not a new problem and they haven't attempted to fix it and are still renting those rooms...yikes! There could be a black mold problem in the walls or ceilings i would think....it happens very quickly after drywall gets wet, etc.

I would not give them a good review on social media for sure!
