Frankie Beverly of Maze passed away today at the age of 77.

One of my all-time favorite singer songwriters.

I went to a concert of his and Anita Baker in St Louis over 20 year ago and loved it. Another good one gone....

@JYWilliams .......when they stop the music mid-song, and all 10,000 people in the audience finish the song in [imagined] perfect pitch. Whew!

Before I Let you go, Golden Time of Day ! Just a couple of my favorites from Frankie Beverly and Maze. So sorry to here of his passing but he will be singing with the angels now. RIP Frankie !

I met my husband in the late 1970's. We listened to so much Frankie Beverly music way into the 1980's. Just loved him.

I absolutely adored his music! I was so very sad to hear of his passing. His song -- Before I Let Go --- is one of my all time favorites. I light up every single time I hear it -- it's magical --- just like he was!

I'm a Philly girl so Frankie Beverly is sorely missed here as he's one of us. They are having a balloon release for him today on the street he grew up on, which is in my neighborhood. Frankie is much older than me and I wasn't living in this neighborhood when he was.
