Kendy Kloepfer is leaving ShopHQ

Today is her ;ast day at HQ. This is what she wrote on her FB page.

"Today was my last day at ShopHQ. I have absolutely Loved being your host for the past 29 years at ShopHQ and am beyond honored so many of you have shopped with me for so long. You are the best customers and friends in the world, and I am looking forward to many exciting adventures together in the future!!!"

Kendy started at QVC, was there just a few months before moving on. All the older QVC hosts were already working there so they have seniority.

This could not have been planned or maybe not planned by her. She just started a new show only she was hosting heavily advertised maybe two weeks ago

Looks like they are redoing everything again. They would be smart to go back to the way they were, before almost all the vendors and enjoyable hosts left the building. They have so many expenisve jewwelry shows and watch shows. And expensive sunglasses. Not sure what they are trying to do.

Well, that's surprising .... and the statement is so happy and upbeat, so I doubt she was canned.

Maybe they did fire her .... but gave her a nice big severance check?

Kandy was one of the favorites of the watch bros who killed ShopHQ. She was very very good on the those shows. Thankful they no longer own HQ and it might come back but Kandy was always on. All this time actually. Maybe she left to join the bros. Ugh!

Obviously I have the facts wrong .... I thought Invicta bought something like 25% of ShopHQ about a year ago. So ... now they sold their ownership?

@Kachina624 Kendy worked at CVN before QVC bought them. She was transferred/employeed by QVC for a short time and went back to Minnesota.

Well my husband is a huge Invicta Watch person, so I got to know Kendy by watching some of the watch shows with hubby. I liked her! Hopefully she will find something that makes her happy!!!

I would think she left on her own, but usually people don't announce it on their very last day-so who knows??

Yeah, it really doesn't sound like she's retiring. Kendy was very good at describing the watches. Almost 30 years with Shophq, and I thought she was one of the better hosts.

That's pretty much it then for the old guard. It seems the only one left is Melissa Minor, who I can't stand. She'd have been the first one out the door on my watch. Always liked Kendy and several of the other senior hosts who are now gone, though I rarely watch the channel, or any shopping channel, any more.

I'm not surprised. They are still struggling so it makes sense that they are once again cutting expenses by dropping an expensive long time host. They probably also let go of some behind the scenes workers.

I guess it's possible that Kendy's paycheck is now covering some of their new free shipping on everything.
