When They Say Buy multiples do you ?

I was watching a PTR show yesterday morning and they were selling the set of 4 or 5 mask samples and it eventually sold out but the Host mentioned a situation where their personal dermatologist encouraged them to buy a product they were selling and the host said no way they were buying and noted how the provider kept insisting but they did not buy it.

Then the host started insisting QVC customers buy multiple PTR masks samples, 3,4,5 and give them as Christmas gifts etc. The host went on and on encouraging multiple purchases. I had to laugh just seeing how the host kept pushing sales. The item eventually sold out but I don't think it was during that show. So did you buy multiples because the host told you to? I know that's what they get paid to do but I didn't fall for it, I just laughed.

Good grief. "Didn't fall for it?" Seriously?

Don't people realize that QVC is a SHOPPING CHANNEL ... and every host's job is TO SELL?

Some comments sound like they are watching a talk show and the hosts try to "trick" people into buying without realizing they are actually buying something.

If you go into Nordstroms, Macys or any other retailer, the associates' jobs are TO SELL.

We just had the CIJ thing, and now everything for Fall and Halloween are everywhere. All the Christmas holidays gift buying has already started for some.

KEY POINT: if you don't want to be sold to, don't watch shopping channels!

All the shopping channels encourage you to buy multiples, some people are gullible and just admire certain host so they are the ones that can convince an Eskimo to buy an AC....lol....not me🤣

@Desertdi I had to laugh when I read your post. My dad always kept a huge supply of TP on hand....enough to take care of an army. He always asked us to never call him cheap. He preferred "frugal". 🤗

Back in the day when I shopped more at QVC, I bought multiples once in awhile of D & Co. t-shirts and sweaters.
I still buy multiples of some basic clothing items if they're on sale in a local store.

We don't buy too many multiples at the grocery store, but I totally understand people doing that if it's good price, especially with regular prices the way there are. Once in awhile we'll buy mutiples of canned goods on sale because they last forever. There's just the two of us so some multiples would go bad before we ever used them. We've had that happen before.

ETA: Sometimes I buy makeup or skin care multiples when there's a buy one get one 50% off.

OP has commented similarly before. I'm not sure why you think QVC hosts wouldn't be trying their best to sell products @Goodie2shoes . That's the whole point of their jobs and QVCs existence. Have you ever been to a car dealership or appliance store? Same principle.

Oh, this is kind of funny. That set of PTR masks did sell out during the presentation I watched. I was going to buy two -- one for me and one as a stocking stuffer for my DIL.

Normally I don't buy multiples of a Q product.

I would only buy multiples on line if I have used the product and really like it. Same goes for retail stores.

I do buy multiples, if it's a good, useful (for me), great price, I see it, & it's multiples have a future for me.

Just the other day, Amz offered High Capacity, Rapid Charge, Cell Phone Power Banks on sale for a phenomenal price. It had great ratings & reviews.

I bought 1, overnight delivery, (Amz Prime). It worked well. Next day, I went back for another one, same model, same price, same brand, different color.

Even tho not an avid Cell Phone user, I feel more comfortable with additional Cell Phone power, esp while on the road.

Uncanny, Ive found, some times, seems many older items were made better, made to last longer, IMHO
