I got a new car ,a few weeks ago, it has this on it ,free for 3 month i really like it but been looking at prices, i like the elvis station,beatles rather confused about pricing,do you have this in your car?

Had it when it was a free offer but then ditched it. I loved the 60's and 70's stations.

That Sirius radio plan was "offered", but I declined. Gasoline is extremely high priced in the Western states, and I'd rather pay for that (!!!)

I do. Let your free membership expire and don't renew. About a month later you'll get a renew offer for $4.99 a month for a year. I do this each year, cancel then wait for the new offer.

I don't have it, but my husband does. It didn't come with his car. He installed a unit in two different vehicles that he drives and another one on our boat.

He also has a small portable unit that he can bring inside of the house or take anywhere he wants music. He listens to music from the 50's and 60's.

He just removes a face plate and plugs it into a unit where he happens to be, I don't know what he pays for it. He's had it for years and pays for it annually.

If you get a subscription, you can also use it when you're not in your car if you buy a portable unit.

we love it, have had a subscription for many years. Worth every penny. I listen to classical, jazz, couple of oldies stations, Christian, several others are on my presets. So much choice within categories.

I had the free months when I bought my car. I initially liked the 60s and 70s stations but soon grew tired of hearing the same songs when those years had so many great ones.

The re-up price is ridiculously high and they don't offer you any deal until you actually tell them no thanks.

I subscribe to Amazon music and have playlists for every decade from the 50s to now. Also classical, country, instrumentals and dedicated Beatles. I use the Bluetooth connection with my iPhone and listen to all my hand picked music.

....every song is one I really like!

I thought I would cancel Sirus after the free 3 months, but no way. I had to keep it. We have it in two vehicles. The Message is my favorite channel. I would never pay the $20+ dollars they want to charge after the free 3 months. I call every year for a lower price. Right now I pay around $6.00 per vehicle. But maybe I should let my subscription expire. The $4.99 sounds ever better. . Except for having to wait a month for that offer.

I got it when I purchased my car, but didn't renew. I loved the Cousin Brucie station, but I really don't drive enough to use it. I found a couple local a.m. stations that play the oldies that I prefer to listen to.

We've had it for years. They play games. We pay yearly rather than monthly. We get our yearly renewal for about $250. I call and tell them no. We talk about different packages and they finally offer us "All Access" for $135 and we accept. All Access was what we had. We did this dance with them every year until this year when our renewal was the $135. I guess after 15 years, they decided to stop dancing.

for hand picked music I also have a Spotify subscription. Like Sirius, it's worth the cost. Which is low only fifteen buck a month. Like you, I have curated playlists. Specific decades, classical composers that I like, Christian praise and worship. And a huge one (100+) of rock songs I like, from Gene Pitney to Gordon Lightfoot to Motown to Beach Boys to Abba. And everyone in between. No annoying DJ patter, no commercials. Happy driving! 😁🎶 especially on my weekly trip to Tampa-40 miles of musical bliss

@goldensrbest - I have Sirius XM in both my car and truck. I pay $12.84 a month (includes all fees and taxes) for both. I don't let it expire.

I simply call them up or do a live chat on or before the day it's due to expire and tell them I'll only keep it, if they can keep the same rate in place.

Never had a problem; they always renew it at the same rate for another year. Their customer service is very good, IMO, and I love all the stations, podcasts, etc. that you get with it (I can listen on the computer at home) without commercials.

Just make sure to contact them on or before the due date. Has only ever taken me a few minutes to sort it.

@yellowrose - You are getting the $4.99 pricing! The $6 includes fees and taxes. I know, because I have the same thing.

I have it and love it. I can't imagine not having it. I have it on my Alexa. I tell her play what channel I want on XM, perfect for when I am sitting by the pool.

Yes; I have it and it is one of my absolutely mandatory expenses! I love Sirius. It makes driving MUCH more pleasant. I like the "decades" channels and I love the "doctor radio" channel. Also, I listen to CNN and MSNBC live as well.

I love my Sirius radio, and downloaded the app so that I can stream through my Bose at home. I always call to get a lower rate, it's so common now that they have a special number to press on your phone to get a lower rate without having to haggle with a representative and threaten to cancel. Once I retire and no longer have the commute, and have a lower income, I will probably cancel completely.

Some of my favorite channels are The Message (Christian music), Watercolors (Smooth Jazz), Mosaic, Classic Vinyl, 80s, and Yacht Rock.

Who ever would have thought we would be paying to listen to music, watch TV, need a cell phone, have cars with no disc players, to name a few. Sure takes a bite out of one's monthly costs. I am not interested at all in Sirus radio.
