Oh my @SharkE that is awful. Our high today here in NE Texas is 100 but not there just yet, at 97º feels like 104º is what they are saying. I want a dark cloud every afternoon until sundown.

It's 91 here in South Florida but the real feel is 105 which includes the humidity. Just awful.

Best thing about Amarillo area no humidity. Up in Ind.

where I'm from the humidity would stagger a buffalo.

Hard to breathe.

I remember the time when people from the Northeast

wrote a column in the paper and when they had to live up there for awhile they said "we're in hale".

Me and my then husband died laughing. Another place that I found horrible was Galveston, Tx any place there's water it's scary. No water around me now which is a saving grace.

I feel bad about rubbing it in, but it is suddenly in the upper 60's, with rain, in New York City! It basically went from two months of disgusting humidity and heat to cool and drizzly. I know it won't last, but I'm enjoying it tremendously.

@SharkE True about the water, but it depends on what body of water. The Pacific Ocean is much cooler than the Atlantic yielding cooler trade winds. On the way to Hawaii last month we stayed overnight in San Diego. The weather there is said to be perfect all year round and it was very nice. Hawaii was perfect though. Low 60's in the am. and evenings, and low to mid 80's during the day. Never felt humidity either. We just skirted a possible Hurricane here in southern Florida, been here since end of December and already ready to leave. Seems like everyone else we know who moved here loves it. To each his own. Love your cute little animated pic, made me laugh.

SoCal is checking in. It's only 83 degrees today, but my air conditioner has been running constantly, even though the thermostat is set to 81.

Yesterday, it was 90 degrees indoors. I felt sick all day.

I'm in Shasta County, and for weeks it's been 107-120. Very hard to keep an even temp in the house with a/c on, it's a struggle.

My utility bill was $460 a month ago, received the newest one, $565.00.

This unbearable heat wave started in early June.

My a/c runs constantly, for a week it was 88 in the house, I know how you feel.

After weeks of temps in the upper 90s with humidity to match, it suddenly became much cooler!

I went out and said to myself "wow, it's a bit chilly!!" I went back in to grab a lightweight cardigan since I was heading to the supermarket which is always cool to begin with.

It was 71 when I stepped out around noon in SE PA.

@Squirrels Are Trash So. Cal. expat here now in WA state. My son and family live in Redondo Beach an it's only about 74 or 75 there, hotest it's been for awhile. They live a couple of streets away where we lived when he was a kid and get the nice ocean breeze. How I miss that area.

Spent most of my adult life in Torance and it was rare to get into the 80s for more than a few days.

My church is so cold I'm thinking about breaking out my

fleece coat. You see people come in sunback dresses.

no sleeves , cut out tops. They get up and go to cloak room and borrow somebody's puffer coat pretty fast.

80 degrees, foggy with 99% humidity at 7:15pm right now in SE MD. Much cooler today. Went down to the beach after work yesterday. It was damp and about 75-80 with heavy fog. I know I'm in the minority here but I want my 99 degree temps back with 99% humidity so I can sit and sweat outside. Still plenty summer left ☀️😎
