THANK YOU cards or notes, do you still send them?😊

I guess I am old school because I still enjoy receiving actual thank you cards, versus receiving one electronically.😁 I am APPRECIATIVE of electronic gratitude, but there is just a more personal, emotional connection to receiving an actual CARD or note that you can keep in remembrance of the person or event.❤

We were brought up to always send a thank you note when someone gave a gift, yes I will still send one!

Yes, I still send a hand written thank you and note cards. I also send greeting cards to some elderly women I know that are all alone or infirmed. I do that for the major holidays. I think old people like to know they are thought of or remembered and they maybe just like to receive mail. Breaks up the monotony of the day. Most of those women are in nursing homes.

Yes, I do still send them. For gifts, kind gestures, for just being a friend.

When a close family member died; my sister offered to send out the thank you cards, to take some stress off me. I declined.

I wrote a handwritten thank you to everyone who showed an expression of sympathy, and everyone who signed the book.

Some were more personal than others, due to the relationship they may have had.

I got such positive feedback when I ran into some of those people after they received one.

I did this over 3 or 4 days. My sister couldn't believe it. It was my way of showing love for my family member, and appreciation for those who loved and respected him.

It was extremely cathartic.

@SandySparkles Oh yes, I'm old school on this, and I send a LOT of cards, notes, thank you notes, thinking of you cards. It makes me happy. A list of many people, catching up with birthdays, holidays, get well wishes. Still some older friends that don't use computers, iPads or phones.

My good friend of 40 years passed away last year, and I really miss her 1-2 per month cards and notes. It's becoming a forgotten art. I love receiving a hand written note. I miss her terribly.

Yes. I'm very big on thank you notes and I stress/teach that to my daughter. A very good friend of mine who is like an Aunt to my daughter said to me and my daughter how much she appreciated a hand-written thank you card.

I do. My children do. But I have a granddaughter who recently graduated from nursing school and needs to send one to out best friends for a very thoughtful gift they sent. She asked me to thank them and I said uhhhhh, no. She said she didn't have time but would try to get around to it. I'm incensed.

@SandySparkles I absolutely send thank you cards! I like to show people that I'm grateful for a gift, time spent together, a time when they gave me great advice or support. Thank you cards are a little way to show someone that I'm really thankful .
