Bob's Stores are going out of business

If you shop there they are completely going out of business selling even the fixtures. Here are the states they do business in and are closing stores in:

Connecticut Massachusetts New York New Hampshire New Jersey Rhode Island

Everything flying off the shelves?

I live in New York and we only have Bob's Discount Furniture where I am. I never went in but I heard terrible reviews mainly of their delivery services; items arriving damaged, unreliable delivery dates etc. No great loss if they're closing although I always feel for people who have lost their jobs.

As soon as I saw the thread I anticipated that there would be confusion.

This is not Bob's Furniture, which is alive and doing well. Of course, the QVC rumor board steers it to that direction, unfortunately.

This is Bob's Retail Clothing, with only about 20 stores remaining in a handful of northeastern states, most in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

This is not the furniture chain , it’s a clothing store which apparently few have heard of hence the “going out of business “

@nevergivesup It is not the furniture store. It is good quality clothing. I went in yesterday to our local store and it was fully stocked.

They have a lot of men's sports wear and outdoor wear.

I have bought Carhart work clothes and many other great quality clothes there for my husband and sons.

Woolrich chamois shirts, Eastern Mountain Sports label and boots for myself, are some of the things I've bought.

Yesterday, I was looking at some lovely Van Heusen

men's dress shirts. But I didn't buy any, all sales are final.

My husband has lost weight and his dress shirts are now too big. Since I didn't have his present neck measurement, he will

have to shop for himself.

Bob's Store also has sneakers and boots and clothing for women. I even saw winter coats and fall weight jackets. Everything is now 30%-70% off the original price.

I'm not sure if you can make purchases online. I have only shopped in store.

So, I guess I'll continue to see those "Oh my Bob" commercials even though I've never seen a Bob store.

Used to frequent Bob’s clothing store when we lived in CT. Good quality clothing at a fair price. Have not been in one for decades. None up here in Maine. Did not know there were still some open.

I know, for myself, I was only responding to the Bob's I am familiar with in my part of NY. Certainly not trying to advance any rumors. I never knew a clothing store existed with the same name. Thank you @enuffstuff for filling me in. It sounds like it was a quality store. It seems like only the huge chain stores are surviving.
