The makers of Poppi soda are being sued due to claims that the drinks don't contain enough prebiotic fiber to cause significant health benefits.

A consumer would need to drink more than four Poppi sodas in a day to realize any potential health benefits from its prebiotic fiber,"

I never bought it myself. There were several articles about this

I tried the orange and the grape flavor. I thought the orange was awful. The grape was drinkable, but Idid not like it well enough to buy again.

I love Poppi Sodas. My faves are Orange and the Ginger Lime. Very low carb. I cant buy them at this time due to $.

I read that article. The lawsuits is asking for 5 million dollars.

It is being promoted as being a good for you item, which it is not. There are no health benefits to drinking this stuff.

Remember this being on Shark Tank. Cannot remember who made the deal with them but the mass production and cost savings may be their downfall.

I don't think it's harmful though either. It same amount of sugar as one tablespoon of flavored coffee creamer and most flavors don't have caffeine.

I noticed today on ITKWD, David and the brand rep never mentioned any prebiotic claims, only stressed Poppi's low sugar content.

I would not be interested in trying this beverage, but the name is cute. If they are being advertised during a children's television program, I think of the Troll movies. The main girl character is named Poppy.

I found these at my local grocer cheaper than QVC. I bought one can of each flavor to find my favorite. Big mistake. I poured every can down the drain. Glad I didn't order a bunch from QVC.

Wanted to try this because of all the low carb hype. Walmart had a discounted price, so I bought a few different flavors to try. The only one that was good was the banana cream (which I thought would be the worst when purchasing them). Apparently this flavor is not advertised on websites selling Poppi, so I wonder if it is discontinued. Not good enough though for me to try to hunt any down. I'll stick with my plain H2O and an occasion club soda when I want fizz.
