If you have this,i have a few questions is it heavy, is it hard to clean,and what hardwood pellets do you buy? Thanks.

We bought it the last time it was a TSV.

We love it!

It is heavy, it came with a stand so we don't move it.

It's easier to clean than the indoor Ninja 5 in 1 grill

You don't have to use Nijna pellets. We buy them at the big A.

We bought a cover that covers grill & stand at the big A.

I just read that it weights 37 lbs! I wouldn't even be able to bring in the package. I wish such items weren't always so heavy. My limit these days is about 20 lbs. (Preferably less!)

@goldensrbest ---I have this machine. Yes it is heavy, I think 37 lbs, but you can move it. It is very sturdy so it doesn;t move around while you open and close it . The grates are non stick so easy to clean--I don't clean mine everytime I use it. The lid and innards are more difficult to clean--very greasy. I use hot water and simple green.You can't get ALL the grease off but a quick wipe down is enough. You can use any pellets really. Pellets are the same basically. I haven't done any smoking yet but I will soon. this price is really, really good for all you get.

@Krimpette --I can't move that much either---so sent it to my son's house and he brought it over and put it together for me.

I sure would like this,been thinking about it for a long time,but the weight of it worries me,so i don't know.

We have it. I am less excited to recommend it.

There is a learning curve with the heat.

It would help if the table had wheels.

When cooking steaks and chicken, the finished food does not have the expected grill-cha- marks compared to an open grill-gas or charcoal. The liquid basting or meat juices stay in the grill plates so the meat seems to steam.

Tried smoking a brisket but the temp& time recommendation was off causing overcooked-dry meat.

You might check over on the TSV forum. Many of us who have this have rated it. As to the weight, I don't want a 5 pound grill. This goes on a cart and you can roll it around to be close to an outet.

@granddi --My suggestion to prevent the steaming effect from the marinade/liquid is to use paper towels to dry off the meat first---you'd be amazed how well that works--I always dry off any meat I want to grill, fish or poultry too----I do this first than put a little olive oil over top then add the seasonings. I get fantastic grill marks on everything, including veggies too.

I would need some kind of heavy-duty rolling cart to move it outside. But to get it out of the car first I would need a hand truck to get it inside my house.
