Why does QVC take so long to ship orders!

I rarely order any longer, but wonder why QVC takes twice as long as any other retailer to ship an item? You would think for what they charge for shipping, they would have found a way to improve.

@Lila4Now I agree! I have a purse I ordered six days ago, and it still has not shipped/still processing. I am phoning QVC tomorrow.

@Lila4Now I think they ship orders fast - a day or two after the order is placed (and payment is completed).

My recent orders shipped in two days since they were placed and I received two items in four days. I think that's pretty good. Since you rarely order you may not be in the best position to make this statement.

As far as shipping costs, especially on clothing or small items, I don't think $3.50 is bad. I always want to order from jjill but their shipping is something like $9 so I generally pass. Not a big online shopper so I may be wrong, but the Q's shipping dates and cost works for me.

WOW! There was an almost IDENTICAL thread yesterday.🥰 In my experience they do not take twice as long as other retailers, although there are times when there are LEGITIMATE shipping delays.👍 Most of my orders ship and arrive as ordered.😁 The comparison actually seems a little unfair, as their business model is different than most "other" retailers.😊

I am really sorry if you no longer enjoy shopping here❤, but many of us do😁, and find the shipping and handling charges to be reasonable, and shipping speed on par with most similar ecommerce and multi-category retailers; sans Amazon.🥰

I ordered a dress from Amazon that poppped up on my Facebook feed. I rarely do that. Ordered it on Sunday. I got it today, Tuesday. . It fits and I like it. Score!

Slow processing of orders, pony express (parcel post) shipping, and slow returns processing are reasons I don't order much from Q anymore. I always shop around because I can find almost everything elsewhere at lower prices.

A lot also depends on if the item is coming from Q or a vendor. Shipping from a vendor is always slower.

I have found some things ship better than others. I've had recent orders ship within 2 days. Others took 5 to ship and another 3-4 to get here. I'm really never in a rush to get things from QVC quicker than that.

It's just how it's always been here at QVC. They've never been an "overnight" shipping type company.

Returns take forever to process.

And the stupid 6.95 to try and fail on so many items lately has me trying to do less not more buying here. I always check other sources now.

Btw, even Amazon Prime is no longer guaranteed 2 day either. But....still better than the Q, and definitely better for returns!

I had to laugh, I just returned a JM product to Q and my refund just showed .... 92 cents. It was just one easy-pay, minus the $6.95. sigh. Whatever, I still didn't want to waste $50 on it.

Return shipping just this year I've probably spent $40.00 or more so far. I no longer will try shoes, jeans, "hard to size" anything "iffy" on Q, because of return charges.

Have you tried to mail/UPS a package lately? The prices have sky rocketed!!!

The Q shipping prices are minimal compared to what we would pay. YES, I KNOW, they get a discount.....but $3.50/5.50 they are charging us is a LOT less than we would pay.

My friend needed a SMALL pill bottle sent from TN to TX....overnight....$106 !

Fast for sure, but at what cost? QVC uses lower cost carriers.

They have always been slow. I only order if it is something I am willing to wait for, or it's a great deal, which is rarely anymore.

@Lila4Now. I consider your statement to be a blatant exageration. My items ship very fast, mostly from the Ontario warehouse. I recently received a garment less than 48 hours after I ordered it. All the clothing I order is shipped in 3 days or less, much less than Macy's or other retailer with whom I do business.

I phoned QVC this morning regarding a Patricia Nash purse that has been in processing for a week. The item truly seems to be in limbo. I spoke with the kindest, and most helpful, customer service representative. She is attempting to resolve the non-shipment issue. Maybe this ships directly from the Vendor instead of from QVC? The QVC representative implemented a trouble ticket, as I continue to wait for the package to be shipped.
