I don't want my browsing history saved and I do not find any way to delete it.

I don't want to even have it shown as I have no reason to go back to it. If QVC attacks it there is no reason to save it as if I am interested I write down the item number and what it is.

Anyone know how to get rid of this or just QVC moderates?

I meant to add...... Every website does this. In fact, every click you make triggers history as well as cookies and cache. I delete all of mine on a regular basis.

I know there is a way to automatically delete history when you turn off the computer. That will delete some, but not automatically all, of your cookies and cache.

I use my iPad and the browsing history always is deleted. This is only the QVC browser site they save. Orders save etc which is great but there is no reason to not be able to delete what I viewed to possibly may want to buy.

On the forum, I delete some my of deer/Willow pictures monthly. On May 1, I deleted all the March pictures and on April 1, I deleted all the February pictures, and so on, thus leaving the immediate prior month's and the current month's pictures. As said, that is on the forum. I don't know how the browsing works, but you'd think you could. Just remember, nothing is deleted forever on the internet.

There's a link in the Privacy Policy to request deletion of personal information, but I don't think browsing history is considered personal.

To me QVC's browsing history found in my account settings is personal. But that is debatable for some people, not me.

On amazon there is a way to delete my browsing history there. Why not here as well?

In fact I just chatted with a QVC CS agent to ask about deleting my QVC browsing history and the reply I got was to delete it using my browser settings. I told the agent it doesn't work to delete my QVC history. Agent replied that it was the only option so apparently there is no way to delete it.

@MKR14 You control what is stored in your computer. You can delete browsing history AND COOKIES, and other things. As to QVC, I would recommend that you browse in "private" or "incognito" mode or whatever your browser calls it, without logging in. Make sure your browser also masks your wifi connection data. If you don't log in while browsing in these modes, they shouln't know who is browsing. But once you log in to post, they know it's you because you told them, and, as @SilleeMee states, QVC's systems are set up to save this data. So is everybody's. If you don't log in, but the website placed a COOKIE in your computer that you still have in your computer, they will know what you look at unless you go into private or incognito.

Hope this helps.

@NYCLatinaMe

I'm not so sure this is completely true. I think QVC is storing the browsing history by some other means. I also think they're deciding which items they're putting there to promote.

I noticed there's only 40 items in my history, so everything I ever browsed is not being saved. Yesterday I browsed several items while I was logged in, and they never showed up in my history. Today they still weren't there. Then I logged out and deleted all of my QVC cookies. After logging back in the saved items are still there.

@Caffeina It appears that the QVC system stores the history of the items you browse while logged in. So deleting the history and cookies from your computer after browsing while logged in doesn't matter to QVC, because they track by the login in their systems, not your computer. That is why I suggested the use of a browser without login in a private mode that does not store cookies and disguises the IP address. I believe the cookie using that mode will be there during the browsing session, but if the browser is designed not to store cookies, once you close the window it won't be stored in your computer. But if you log in in private mode, QVC will have your browsing history.
