Took a Trip to the QVC Outlet Yesterday!

About twice a year, once in the spring/summer and then again in the fall, my sister, daughter and I take a one and a half hour drive to the QVC Outlet in Frazer. Yesterday was one of those trips. We got there about 9:45AM as the opening time has always been 10:00AM, (except for Sunday) To our surprise, people were already in the store shopping. As of May 1st, they now have new outlet hours that open at 9:00AM and close at 6:00pm.

For anyone who has ever gone to the QVC outlet, you can never go with anything special in mind that you want to buy. It's always a mystery as to what they have there at the time you go. I managed to purchase a pair of Skechers for $23 and change (on air selling for $59 on sale), a Cuddl Duds pair of pj's, a Breezies bra ($9) and a beautiful Valerie Windchime ($17). All very reasonable prices and much less than on air prices.

My sister bought a few Susan Graver pants, lightweight spring jacket and a pair of sandals. My daughter got two Cuddl Dud's winter fleece pjs ($10 each) that she'll put away for this coming winter, two pairs of Skechers sneakers ( On-the Go- slip in style ($18) and the other an athletic style $22), and an Isaac top.

We then went for nice lunch at a place not far from the outlet, and then headed back home. All in all it was a nice, fun day out together, bought a few things we considered 'bargains' had a great lunch and came home tired!

The only QVC "outlet" that I was in was at the Mall of America decades ago. I remember a variety of items and wound up buying a D&C shirt if I recall. Lisa Mason was hosting the show at the time and the salesperson in the store asked me if I wanted to talk to her on air. An easy "no" for me although DH thought I should do it--LOL!!!

I would like to be able to go to a QVC outlet but I live too far away...sigh.

@ciao_bella Good for you! Sounds like a really fun day. I live too far away or I would enjoy a shopping adventure at their outlet store. It's a good feeling to come up with nice items for a great price. Enjoy your purchases!

@Mom2Dogs The outlet store is in Frazer, PA. They used to have one in Lancaster, PA but that closed last year. The only other QVC outlet is in Florida, I believe. It's a 90 minute drive each way for me (I live in NJ) , so I don't go that often, usually twice a year spring and fall.

They should do a QVC Club membership and you pay a fee and get free shipping for a year, and access to an on-line outlet shop where you could buy clearance and get free shipping on clearance items that only members could get.

@ciao_bella The store in Brandon Fl in about 250 miles from me. Might be a fun trip for a weekend.

I have been to that outlet several times. Some friends and I used to go to QVC and stop there afterwards. I remember Frazier had a great jewelry section and we used to grab any Judith Ripka available!

I also used to shop at the Q outlet in Rehoboth, DE. That was a nice one too. I once got a Louis Dell'Olio jacket for $8. I already had 3 of the same in other colors. Needed that 4th. I still have the Samsung DVR I bought one black Friday for $39. Maybe I can sell it as "vintage" or donate it to the Smithsonian.

@ciao_bella It was fun reading about your happy day with your daughter and sister. I am envious!

Years ago there was an outlet in Estero, Florida that I went to. I purchased several Tiffany style lamps at a good discount. I also bought a fabric cooler that kept things cold as long as any solid cooler. That outlet closed years ago.

My daughter and I did the QVC Girl's Weekend in Pennsylvania 10 years ago. Part of the excursion was going to the outlet store. I remember there was a barn type structure in the back that held tables heaped up with cosmetics. It was a real free for all. Not really free, but you had to dig through piles for that hidden gem you are sure is waiting for you . It was like going to a flea fair. I picked up a couple Laura Geller Rimz eye shadows - a score for me!

It sounds as if you gals scored some nice things which is always fun. Also having lunch out with loved ones is always a winner. Glad you had such a nice day! Thanks for sharing. ~

@ciao_bella Sounds like fun! I'm also about 1 to 1 1/2 hours away and it's been years since I have gone to the outlet in Frazer.

I might ask my friend to go sometime for something different to do and then go out for a nice lunch.

Do you recommend the place where you went to lunch? If yes, could you please share? Of course KOP mall is nearby but that's a dangerous place for me....very expensive!

We used to go to the one in Lancaster every 6 mos, I got gorgeous jewelry, clothes, purses, luggage, linens, shoes, and the list goes on. Last time we went was in 2015, didnt buy one thing, never went back.

I was really surprised to read the QVC Outlet in Lancaster closed. That store was a gold mine with lines of customers waiting to check out! And tour buses dropping off people to shop there and the many other outlet stores located there.

@haddon9 The name of the restaurant is called "Nudy's Cafe". It has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars from over 800 people leaving reviews. We always stop there for lunch when we're making a trip to the outlet. Great food, nice place and not expensive. You'll like it. It's a favorite in the area.

Distance is very close to the QVC outlet (a few blocks away..less than 1/4 of a mile) and on the same main road the QVC outlet is on. The address is: 309 Lancaster Ave, Malvern, PA 19355. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the restaurant here on the forum, but just Google Nudy's Cafe, Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA and it will come up.

Yes, it was, we usually went on a Sunday, the jewelry counter was so crowded that you would have to take a ticket with a number to be called like at a bakery , and you only had 15 minutes to work with a sales clerk or they were forced to move on to the next waiting customer.

This is a really good idea. QVC doesn't like ideas from their customers though. Too bad.

@ciao_bella Thanks so much! I'm somewhat familiar with the area and added the name of the restaurant to my list.

I used to take my DH to a doctor in the area every month for several years. My daughter had her baby last year in Bryn Mawr hospital which is close by.

I'm thinking I might actually be closer than I realized. I Google mapped it and it's just about an hour away.
