Haunted Hotel Tour

Saturday night, we took a tour of The Haunted Magnolia Hotel Bed and Breakfast in Seguin, TX. While we didn't see any of the spirits, we did feel a couple of chills and were told by our host they were there. She gave us an in-depth history of the building and the spirits there, which was very interesting. But what almost put me on the floor was her own medium powers.

She told us her mother was a full blown psychic, and of the four siblings, she received a portion of that gift. Every room we entered, she would sort of get messages from the beyond. Don't laugh because...

She got a message from a woman for someone in the room who was a teacher, or perhaps the message was from a teacher. She also said there were three initials of K associated with her and a person in the room. I sheepishly said my mom was a teacher and that our three grandchildren's names each started with a K. She said my mom thanked me for wearing red. I stated I researched that morning and that spirits were attracted to red and green. Mom also wore her fair share of red. Okay...that was sort of an encounter. But the next one absolutely blew me away and had me in tears.

In another room, she asked if anyone was connected with or had anyone who worked at the railroad. PapaWick said his father worked for the railroad. She said the spirit told her he had 5 sons!!! PapaWick is the youngest of 7...5 BOYS and 2 girls. Didn't mention the daughters. She said the spirit told her how he died and said he wanted them to know he had no pain when he died.

PapaWick's father died in a car wreck in 1965. The car caught fire and he was burned beyond recognition. It was always felt and hoped for that he had a heart attack and was dead before the car went off the road. Now we know that was the case. He said he had no pain.

We were not the only people on the tour who received messages from beyond.

@MamaWick I am glad you had a memorable experience in the hotel. It had to be chilling and thrilling to have such a personal reading. I have had experiences with spirits in Fredericksburg, but no communication. The Hill Country and the San Antonio area seem to have an unusually large amount of activity.

@MamaWick What an amazing experience you had. The woman's abililty is quite impressive, giving you such specific

information in the messages.

It has been a while since I've seen any psychics, but I have also gotten very specific messages and predictions, in the past.

I know that a lot of people do not believe in these things, but how are such spot on messages and predictions explained?

The word "haunted" got my attention and then the rest of your post really interested me. I am all in to visit this place when we will be in New Braunfels late July. I lost two brothers a year apart, both unexpectedly, they both liked red so that color is what I will wear. Thanks for info MamaWick.

@yellowrose they do the tours one on Saturday each month (and it's not always the same). However, you can stay in the hotel (it is also a B&B). Just Google haunted Magnolia hotel.

@MamaWick Wow, what an experience. I believe in signs and also believe that our departed loved ones can communicate with us in many ways. After all, everything is from energy and energy cannot be destroyed.

I'm sure that PapaWick found comfort in the message he received. Wow again.

@MamaWick Oh, I love that you were able to do that tour & spirits or not, you learned history.

We have a 90+ year old movie/community theater that I was able to volunteer at for many years and on the mezzanine one can see/sense Judy, one of tthe theater's ghosts. We also have a ghost in the basement where the Wurlitizer organ resides which is a horse who was part of a touring group that sadly passed away I want to say in the '30's.

We have quite a few haunted homes here in Savannah, GA.

In some, you can even see the apparitions, as a cloudy form, which made me want to haul butt outta there!

Almost all of the haunted places are in our Historic district.

I just finished reading Mysteries of the Magnolia Hotel by Erin O Wallace, who was our host. She gave an in-depth account of the hotel from when it was built (I think in the 1840s) to present day, including the spirits residing there. Fascinating.

A local psychic told me years ago that my mom would end up with dementia. There are no cases in our family. Also he said both my parents would reach 90.

@MamaWick, I just read the beginning snippet of the book on Amazon. The author's mother seemed like a wise woman.

I think there will always be believers and non-believers...until something happens to change their mind.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Magnolia Hotel in Seguin. I am interested in visiting that site now. I live about three miles away and was always curious about this haunted hotel. Thanks again for your insights and sharing this information with us.
