I'm glad it is staying up north as in RI it's all rain. Though at times I feel the rain is worse when you have several inches coming all at once, yikes! Flooding potential makes me a bit uneasy, at least the snow will melt at a slower pace and keeps the water from overflowing. Be careful up there @goldensrbest . We're also bracing for crazy winds 40-50 mph.

It's been very cold the last week or so here in SE PA. It was down into the 20s over the last few days. However it's warmer today with heavy rain. It could have been snow if the temps had stayed in the 20s.

I am sick of winter!!! Yes, I know it's officially spring but it's been too cold and windy for me .

Heavy rain in east central Pa., also. Expecting wind gusts up to 45 mph. later. I know there's still time, but under for snow accumulation again this year. Happy for that.

Bergen County N J which is Northeast in Jersey will be a very rainy day. I'll change the saying of April Showers bring May Flowers to March Showers bring April Flowers. Allergies have started in this area.

@TerryNJ My DH grew up in Bergen County....Demarest. It's a very nice area from what I remember.

My hubby grew up in Bergen County....Closter, he moved to CA in 1975 looking for work where I met him😊!

Edit to add: One of his sisters lives in Harpswell,ME, the rest of his siblings still reside in the NJ & NY area.

@SoCal Bred One of the restaurants in that area is from 1668 and has the jail in it that kept Major John Andre who was eventually hung . It's a great place to go.

Good to know, I'll ask my hubby if he knows about this restaurant, he probably won't or can't recall but his three sisters will know I'm sure. My hubby's favorite place to hang out at in his younger years was a local bar called 'The Wreck.'

@SoCal Bred Am not familiar with The Wreck. The name of the restaurant is The 1776 House.

Started out as snow, went to sleet, freezing rain,then rain lots of power outages.

WV would typically have snow at this time in March. In my area we've had <10" all winter, which just doesn't feel normal, but our moisture has been plentiful in the form of rain. Nights are still very cold in the low 20's.

If we have snow in April, it is usually heavy and wet, with tree damage and power outages.
