I'm the kind of elephant nut who gets tears in her eyes when I see one. That photo did it for sure. The more you learn about these majestic beings the more you love them. Thank you for that post.

If anyone has not seen the documentary about Cher rescuing an elephant in Pakistan, it is amazing. He was brought to a sanctuary in Cambodia.

Cher has been working to rescue wild animals that have been held in captivity. Many people are not aware of her big heart and love for animals. She has also worked on charities for people.

Look on YouTube for "Loneliest elephant rescue".

@Enufstuff Thank you so much for the suggestion. My mom and I both enjoy programs like that very much. She'll probably watch even before me. She watches wild animals from remote cameras across the world everyday.❤️

@On It That picture is so precious. It is hard to imagine that there are still people hunting elephants, even though it is illegal.

I so wish that could all be stopped.

@cheriere It is a wonderful documentary. I came upon it a couple of years ago and I'm so glad that I watched it.

I had no idea that Cher was involved in rescuing animals.

Just the logistics of moving an elephant was fascinating. It

was no easy task.

I didn't know she's involved in Animal Rescue either. Just another reason to love her even more!

I'll bet it is a major deal in moving animals, probably a lot of red tape involving many countries too.

@cheriere The red tape was only part of it. Just the weight of the elephant alone, required special heavy duty vehicles

and containers, for transporting.

Cher is amazing and a blessing,full of love, not just beautiful and talented.
