We are recalling Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings (SKU# 54988) with the best by date 03.07.25 and lot code C1-1 or C1-2 due to the potential presence of foreign material (plastic).

No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date. If you purchased Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings with the best by date 03.07.25 and lot code C1-1 or C1-2, please discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Wow...way too many this past year...I count about 7 in my head..

I used to go there about once a month and stock up on lots of things...been too gun shy lately. Too bad.

You went to a lot of trouble to make sure everybody knows. I consider this the good news, this is not uncommon in food processing hundreds of thousands of items that are sold at Trader Joe's and it looks like there are checks in place to find issues like this.

The same suppliers are supplying dozens of other chains like Trader Joe's too. This would certainly not keep me from buying this very same thing at Trader Joe's, I find their quality of goods excellent.

@Bhvbum Yes, I get all that too. Recalls have happened a lot with other stores and brands. Seems more so this past year with TJ's, but your point is taken.

Yes, I posted details because people have appreciated the heads-up about these things in the past. Consumers make your own choices but good to be informed, if you actually have this item in your fridge.

@Bhvbum I agree, recalls happen all the time. I'm a huge fan of Trader's. Been shopping there for more than 45 years and love it.

We often buy their pot stickers but not these.
