@Etoile308. I've had lots of cats and dogs but the only one that got into the TP was a young dog, mad at being left alone in the evening, who completely tore up an unopened 8-pack and shredded it all over the living room. It was the only blizzard Houston ever had.

It works no matter what way it rolls. Over/under, makes no difference.

They used to make patterned toilet paper, and the pattern only showed when it rolled down, as shown in the picture.

I've always been told that's the wrong way to install toilet paper, but it IS the right way!

I only had one cat who would play with the toilet paper roll, unrolling the entire thing and playing with it around every room in the house!

That is funny. For some reason you reminded me of the disappearance of my little female Coton de Tulear. I always closed the bathroom doors so my little guys would not go in there unsupervised. I left the door open when I was in there, so they knew where I was. One afternoon, I missed my little girl. I looked everywhere for her. I knew she could not have gotten outside, but I was concerned.

I finally thought to check the bathroom. That little sneaky girl must have slipped in while I was washing my hands. She was white, the bathtub was white, and the toilet was white. I think she hid between the two. When I opened the door, she was standing there looking at me. She never barked or made a sound during the hour or so she was in there. That girl was smart. She knew it was her fault. She had not disturbed a thing and probably took a nap on the bath mat.

Our Mitzi always went outside on a leash, even though she was a cat.

One day she got outside alone and I couldn't find her. I heard a plaintive 'meow', she had run all the way up a huge tree on the curb, must have been 20 feet up. I was scared to death that the little darling would break something, trying to come down.

Just then the town fire department truck came around the corner, on a fund drive. I promised to give them one hundred dollars if only they would get Mitzi down, which they did!

She never did that again!

I've been experimenting with doing it the 'under' way and it has it's advantages for me. I'll keep it that way until I decide after a roll or two have been used up.

The drawing shows A way - not THE way. I prefer to hang the roll the other way. I tell my husband that I probably use TP 8 times to his 1, so leave it the way I prefer it.
