50 & Fabulous!

Thank you QVC for a show that celebrates women over 50!! Thank you for recognizing that we are a large part of your audience. As a women in this category I appreciate the joy, love and excitement expressed by all those involved in hosting and presenting.

@kaiwahini I get where you are coming from and the idea is a nice one, but Mally makes this show hard to watch with her hyperness at least for me anyway, I don't dislike her, but of course to each their own. She had on some gorgeous Chanel shoes and when Calista came out with her hair tool, Mally told her that her hair tools are the only ones she uses. Now come on Mally! However, I did watch the show because I love Shawn and I wanted to see the sweatshirt set from PLW. While watching, Shawn asked Alina to tell us her age. She then reluctantly said 63! I was blown away! She looks amazing, and I had always guessed her to be very early 50's. She should be proud of it.

I feel like Mally ridicules older women, uses them as the butt of her jokes.

As soon as I see her face, I change the channel. She's just loud and obnoxious.

@KittySoftPaws , Shawn should know better than to ask someone her age ! She is always asking intrusive questions , just one of the reasons I can't watch her .

I can't take Mally, she's too loud for me. However, it's been a while since I was in my 50s so I'm guessing the show isn't for me anyway. She probably wouldn't like me either

I'll try watching again but Mally is too wild, loud and over the top for me. I do find it amusing that some people think 50 is so old when today 50 is just hitting the early middle age years. A 50 year old woman hasn't begun to experience what happens when hit the 60s. 60 & Fabulous would make more sense to me. I don't think women in their 50s and above are a large part of the Qvc audience. I think we are basically their ENTIRE audience. I would say 90% are older women. And I like that!

It's because she has no filter. There's something lacking in how she relates to people. She just doesn't think before she talks.

On around the second show when she made facial expressions suggesting a hair removal item looked like a sexual gratification tool for women I knew I'd had more then enough of her! I think during the presentation Shawn and Meghan Murray may have felt similarly. Her behavior reminded me of that of some silly seventh grader.

Many years ago I liked Mally, watched her make-up shows, and purchased lots of her products. Now I won't support anything she does and I feel she is nothing more then an embarrassment. But as I said in another post, I guess I'm in the minority and there are those who like lewd, loud, and loony behavior. And QVC's gotta give the customers what they want....right?

Mally is crass and inappropriate and not at all funny. Not a good representative for women over 50.

@QVCkitty1 You have to remember that it's a 50 show and I believe the reason she did it is because she thinks Alina looks so young and she should be proud of it. That's how I look at it because I'm the same way, I don't hide my age. She loves Alina and I didn't see anything wrong with it. I did however not like the fact that Alina said to Shawn "are you jealous." Regarding her and Mally having a collab together. Shawn immediately got up to the camera and said she brought Alina into QVC. I had heard this before. Shawn said she's surprised Alina hasn't suggested a collab yet and Alina replied with you have other collabs and do I need to ask? If I were Shawn in that situation I would have said the same thing. It was rude of Alina to say that in my opinion.

@KittySoftPaws , We will have to agree to disagree on this issue. Before I stopped watching Shawn, I witnessed her putting people on the spot and instead of backing off when they didn't answer, she kept pushing. I was embarrassed and it had nothing to do with me.

Watched as much as the first show that I could stand. I'll pass on this show. Mally and Shawn are unwatchable for me. Loud, obnoxious, and crass.

I like the idea of the show but it is not representative of the fun, wise and classy women I know. I know the posters who complained about the foul language got a lot flack but this is QVC. Real comedians ( and Mally thinks she is funny) don't need to use it. Too be fair Joan Rivers got bleeped and I didn't see the backlash. It has to be a success because they brought it back but it isn't for me.

I also do not like Mally, not one bit. Loud, obnoxious, and crude. If and when Joan Rivers used foul language, it was at least funny. Mally is NOT funny. I don’t watch the show or buy her products. And I don’t need QVC or anyone else to validate my existence.

I have never watched. But I don't watch the Q anyway. But an well produced, informative, even paced show directed towards my age group I would watch. I see some great deals on beauty items here. But I don't think, from threads posted about this show, that I would be able to get the info I need. I don't want to wade in and tread water for an hour and still be on the fence. I don't need more frustration and stress. I have the 6:00 news for that. I want zen, calm, sassy+ savvy, clever and tasteful. Like me lol😄
