      <title>HSN Closed My Account!</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was not given any prior notice and can't think why they would close my account. I have been a customer for years. I purchase a lot of Andrew Lessman products and other miscellaneous items. I have returned only a few items that did not fit.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only way I knew they had done this was when I tried to make a purchase online, it said unable to process. I called customer service and was told that the account had been closed, but, the rep could not tell me why. He said I would have to request that information by letter!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What horrible customer service!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

However, I would still send the requested letter. It would be worth checking into to make sure there isn't a problem you need to be aware of.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4" color="#333399"&gt;I realize the frustration this would cause, especially without any prior notice. However, I think I would hold off on the "horrible customer service" since you don't know yet why the account was closed. Plus, I don't believe this is a customer service issue. Perhaps someone else attempted to use your account? Or your CC? Haven't used your account in the allotted&amp;nbsp;time frame, like a year or so?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Geez, I voluntarily closed my HSN card as well as another unused credit card and holy cow----the 3 credit reporting companies are all over that like a wet t-shirt and sending me notices about changes to my credit report--- to make sure it was ME that did all this!!! which is good--but good grief!!!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I have decided Customer Service is a thing of the past.&amp;nbsp; People just don't care about Customers as long as they get your money.&amp;nbsp; I have been without my lap-top since 12/10.&amp;nbsp; The computer is only 8 months old.&amp;nbsp; First, I discovered the warranty had been assigned to Office Depot.&amp;nbsp; Then, everyone including the manager at the local store was fired.&amp;nbsp; When the acting manager took over, I thought I would get some help from him or his tech who does repairs...ONLY IN MY DREAMS!&amp;nbsp; After the tech had looked it over, I was told to send it to Lenovo which used to be IBM.&amp;nbsp; Lenovo sent an email a week later saying I would have to send them $245.68 if I wanted it repaired because the warranty didn't cover the repairs.&amp;nbsp; That was a lie and I have the pictures to prove it.&amp;nbsp; Lenovo hung up on me yesterday.&amp;nbsp; The Office Depot manager said that was the technique the company uses.&amp;nbsp; I never yelled at anyone or behaved rudel with Lenovo.&amp;nbsp; The final straw was the technician's suggestion that I call the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau to file complaints!!!!&amp;nbsp; I still do not have a computer that works.&amp;nbsp; Fortunately, my husband does.&amp;nbsp; It's slow and antiquated, but I can manage.&amp;nbsp; I paid $750 for the laptop with the software and installation.&amp;nbsp; I will never set foot in an Office Depot again.&amp;nbsp; No wonder they are on the edge of going out of business.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Try to set up another account so you can place your order.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Hope they don't close mine. I buy mostly Andrew Lessman from HSN. They don't really have anything else I need.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I will just order from Andrew if they close mine?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Mistakes do happen but they've always worked hard to make things right. I do always speak with real people. Also the card is held through Synchrony Bank not HSN.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You do need to find out what is going on with your credit, that is very strange to just close it for no cause.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They said I had received a letter from them dated Feb. 16th of last year advising me that if my return rate continued, they would be closing my account. First of all, I never received such letter and as I mentioned in my post, I rarely returned any items.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's very strange - something is just "off" about this whole thing. If you are going to send out a letter advising someone their account could be closed, would you wait a whole year before acting on it? At the very least, wouldn't you then send out another letter advising the customer that the account is being closed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Seems to be a sign of the times we are living in - poor customer service.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

And check to make sure they sent that letter to the correct address and have your correct name and address on your account. Especially since you could previously order all year with no problem.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;&amp;nbsp;When I signed up for HSN years ago and wanted to order something, they wouldn't deliver to my address.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;It turned out after much investigation, the previous renters from that address were to put it nicely, not reliable.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;I thought it was strange that they would go by address and had never had QVC do that.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;I eventually got it straightened out but I had to submit things to them to show I was a different person than the previous renters! I thought it all was the strangest thing.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;Were you able to call the card you usually use and see if there was any problem or red flag with that?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;I hope you get it straightened out. I have been a customer for years. I purchase a lot of Andrew Lessman products and other miscellaneous items. I have returned only a few items that did not fit.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only way I knew they had done this was when I tried to make a purchase online, it said unable to process. I called customer service and was told that the account had been closed, but, the rep could not tell me why. He said I would have to request that information by letter!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What horrible customer service!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Same thing happened to me. Without notice, they closed my account. Their customer service....is awful! They did me a favor. I no longer watch, nor would I buy from them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I thought it all was the strangest thing.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;Were you able to call the card you usually use and see if there was any problem or red flag with that?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;I hope you get it straightened out. Someone using the same private post office as I use was not paying their HSN bills so they froze all accounts connected to that address. Most all companies can do credit checks too if they want to or if the card is denied, and the order won't go thru if it's a bad card instead of denying for a bad previous address.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#0000FF"&gt;So weird.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
