Great! We in Chicago suffered with sub zero temps for over a week. An early spring would be welcome but summer can take its time--LOL!!

Even though I love winter, (Disappointed in winter this year in my area of the northeast, low snow totals, temps too warm) I will welcome an early spring. I love to garden, so maybe I will be able to get a head start on the veggie and flower gardens. I even like to mow my lawn. LOL

I understand that, I love to iron. Something about making the smooth circular motions and removing the "wrinkles" is a stress reliever for me.

@charsha , I would never rely on P Phil or even the prevailing temps to determine when I plant things outside. There's a map for that. Never before April 15 here.

Well I guess one's point of view is where one is located in the country. For those who have an unbearably hot summer and mild winter I can understand not wanting an early spring.

However for those of us who see a long dreary cold winter with mostly gray skies day in and day out an early spring is welcomed!

The summers here in SE PA can get very hot & humid but we always get a break in the weather and it rarely gets into the 90s and above. It might last a week or two. I can't imagine living where it's so hot that it gets well above 100 for weeks on end even if it's a dry heat.

Phil isn't very good at predicting the weather. He's been right only 40% of the time.

I would like an early spring. We haven't had spring weather in years. We go from winter right into summer.

I don't like winter. Two weeks of it is enough for me. It is a dangerous time of the year for many.

WV + January + February + March = winter, period. April can be iffy on weather, but guaranteed mud season.

Here in NE PA spring is 6 weeks away, spring will not be early, it will arrive March 19th, no matter what the over grown rat says.

The whole Phil thing is so dumb, I can't believe the number of people that go watch it.

They go to drink and party and have fun. The town doesn't mind. This event brings in money to the area.
