Do You Like Your Voice?

Do you like your voice? I dont hear mine very often but when I do....it sounds awful to me

I have been told my voice is sweet, or sexy or calming etc. But I do not like hearing it LMBO.

@CherryHugs I never really think about it. I guess I like it.

I've been told many times that I have a good "phone voice" and, a few times, when I have answered my office phone, people thought I was a recording & were surprised I was real! Lol

I used to work at a car dealership as a receptionist and had to answer the phones.....and many men said I had a beautiful voice or sexy voice lmbo.....

No, I don't like my voice, it's deep and raspy (think Kim Carnes) and I'm called 'Sir' on the phone a lot!

Haha, that is true. My voice doesn't bother me until I hear it on a voicemail or something. When I was a directory assistant operator I had many callers tell me my voice was sexy, sweet, etc, same as you. But it is NOT. I sound like a kid, to me anyway.

No, I don't like it when I hear it played back to me, although others have said they like it. And go figure, I talk for a living. 😑

I can relate to you. My voice is the same. I also have been called "Sir" on occasion.

Yes; I have a clear speaking voice and received compliments when I worked on a hospital switchboard making announcements by intercom, 2 way radios, and voice pagers.

I don't hate my voice but when I hear it in a recording I am always shocked that my regional accent is as strong as it is.

For whatever reason, I think we hear our voices differently then others hear it. I'll have to Google that.

Yes, I like my voice.

I have heard my voice many times. The company I worked for used my live and recorded telephone calls for training new representatives.

I often get calls asking to speak to my mother or grandmother when I answer the phone at home. Even though I am almost 70, I have a very young voice, but not little girl sounding.

I sing alto, so my voice isn't high and girly. I used to sing at weddings and funerals with one or two other ladies. I need backup. I don't think my singing voice is good enough for solo.

I speak with a West Texas drawl. It is a drawn out version of how that lonesome cowboy sounded in the Western movies. Basically, a three letter word has three syllables. I cannot eliminate that drawl. Even though I have a confident tone and demeanor in public speaking or on the phone, it is there. I wish it weren't.

I never really thought about the sound of my voice, but this morning I was speaking to someone on the phone, who is from a different state than me. He said he really loved my accent. I was kind of surprised because I really never thought I had an accent at all. LOL

No, I don't like my voice but I couldn't tell you why.....I just don't. That goes for the voice I hear when talking as well as played back on a recording of any kind.
