I Bought Myself a Toy

Make fun if you will, but I bought myself a Nintendo Switch Lite, and I'm having fun. I always enjoyed the Mario Brothers type games, back in the day I played with kids, friends and my mom. When my mom was ill and had trouble sleeping, I turned her on to these games. That women loved to compete and it took her mind off her illness. I got away from video games, the new ones seemed too violent and I like cute characters. Anyway I got a newer Mario type game , set it up and this old lady is a gamer. Sometimes we forget to have fun, I hope I never do.

Go for it. I like games like Mario Brothers etc. my husband plays all the time and he's 70. I play all the time on my iPad.

I bought the Nintendo Switch for a grandson for Christmas. I got it from QVC. Never heard of it, but it was suggested as a gift for him. Well, he wasn't expecting it and LOVES it! Played it on Christmas and the next day while they were here. His dad told me he has to make sure it's out of his room when he goes to bed. Because he'll stay up and play it.

I loved the old original (?) Mario Bros. on Nintendo. I could easily play that for hours on end. That's the only thing I ever played though Mario Brothers. My kids had lots of other games, but they didn't interest me.

I did like Tetris, too.

Huh? Why would anyone make fun of that? Video games have been proven to reverse aging and improve cognitive function in seniors. They also reduce stress but mostly they are fun for those who enjoy them.

Reading this feel good post made me smile!😊 I can feel your excitement! It made me think of the buzz surrounding the first Nintendo gaming system! I can still hear that catchy tune in my head that we are all TOO familiar with!😂

I think it was brilliant of you to use it as a therapeutic aid for your dear mother.❤ If you have not already purchased the game Luigi's Mansion, I think you will LOVE IT! My DDIL purchased the Lite for my son along with that game , and he really likes it!👍

May we never forget to enjoy the simple things, and just have FUN! Enjoy your new "toy"!😁

I love it. It's creative and fun. You live on an island, decorate it any way you want, invite other characters to come live there, fish, garden, craft, etc. There are also holiday events and they celebrate your birthday. It's hard to explain fully; there is a lot of content.

I don't do video games, but I have several toys. I find comfort and inspired imagination in toys.

I miss my mother very much and think of her all the time...so many things I'd like to share with her

Enjoy it, I've never been a gamer but I loved playing Pac-Man at the arcades.
