Zulily Is "Down"

Yesterday and today Zulily's message online reads "we are down for maintenance."

I am wondering if it is officially gone.

I had an order in "processing" that I most likely will not see.

If anyone has orders in the works there, just a heads up.

In filings with Nevada, Ohio and Washington Zulily indicated that a total of 800 employees would be terminated effective February 7th.

However, I've read recent reports that rounds of terminations have started, so this could be the result.

@chrystaltree That is what I am afraid of.

They sold so many things over the last few weeks "goes out quickly." Some may be expecting to receive by Christmas.

It very well could be just a maintenance issue but the timing is suspect.

I'll miss them, they were my go-to store for so many things and they had the best prices for me. I've spent a small fortune alone just for my grandkids.

I had three orders placed and received the email stating that they have canceled everything and credited my account since I had already paid for it also received an email stating that we we will not be able to use our credit card Zully credit card online store anymore. I called the credit card company and ask him how I can get my money back and I will have to wait Until everything is posted and then it will take 7 to 15 days to receive my check for the amount that I had already paid. Told him that I wasn't very happy and I sorry to see them go but they didn't really know much either.

@Kachina624 You ask, "What retail business closes for "maintenance" right before Christmas?" Maybe a business bought by a private equity group that has no reason to keep it open? I believe Regent basically has no name recognition among consumers and knows "Zulily" will be the name catching all the flack if/when customers don't get their orders delivered.

Zulily terminated all their workers last Wednesday (December 13).

They sent the workers this email:

Subject: Employment Update

December 13, 2023

Dear ****,

As you know, on December 7, 2023, we gave you notice informing you that your employment relationship with Zulily would end on February 7, 2024, or the 14-day period commencing on that date. We gave this notice voluntarily under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act even though you were not entitled to WARN notice because you are not employed at an affected site of employment as defined by the WARN Act.

We regret to inform you that based on business circumstances we must move your Termination Date up. This letter replaces and supersedes the December 7 notice, and serves as notice that your employment relationship with Zulily will end on December 13, 2023 (the “Termination Date”). You will receive your final paycheck, which includes any wages due through your Termination Date, in accordance with Zulily’s regular payroll practices, and/or state law.

If you participate in the Zulily’s group health insurance plans, your coverage under those plans will cease effective December 31, 2023, unless further extended under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). Information about the availability of continued coverage under COBRA will be sent to you separately. Any other employment benefits in which you participate will cease on your Termination Date.

You will receive separation information, including required notices by state, to your personal email by end of day today. If you don’t see it in your inbox, please reach out to ********.

Will miss them. Very good customer service. Call and you would get a real person almost immediately. And their shopping cart approach to shipping. Bet QVC is glad they will be gone because they really did a better job.

This was my first time shopping with them. I got part of one order and all the other items were canceled.

Actually, the one item I received was the one I wanted most.

That is so sad to see this happening. I feel for the employees. I heard on the news they are expecting millions to be laid off in 2024. Also, Etsy laid off 11% of their staff. Who knows where this is going to end up.

I received this email at 7:01 pm CST today. I used XXXXXXXX each and every time there was a blue link to "click on" so that it wouldn't be poofed

Instructions were to contact Synchony Bank if you were owed a refund or store credit

I had a $58.00 or so credit for a pair of Vionic athletic shoes that didn't fit properly.
