I just got a recorded message call thanking me for being a customer and asking me to be on the lookout for a "personal" message from the President of the company. Any one else receive this?

Wow, that's odd. If they call back you must let us know what they say...but don't give out any of your personal information...it could be a scam!

@tessam If you don't mind me asking, did the caller ID show QVC or just a phone number? I never answer calls from phone numbers I don't know.

No, I have never received a call from QVC.

It is quite odd to receive a call telling you you're getting a personal message. Why would you need a heads up?

@PA Mom-mom Good advice. All my contacts have ringtones set just for each one.

If my phone rings with the generic standard I will not answer.

Also if one does answer never, ever acknowledge you are the person who they ask for. A voice print can be made and used against you.

We all need to be careful; everyday "they" come up with new and easier ways to access private information.

QVC has made some calls before. There are posts here about it. They were for surveys. You can check if your call is legitimate by calling Customer Service.

Years ago I received a recorded message from Shawn K. that many people got. I don't remember why but it does happen.

I think it was about a show she had coming up.

I have QVC's phone numbers saved in my contacts so it identified the number which I received at 2:54 today. It was an automated message which said be on the lookout in your mailbox from a letter from the president of QVC, Mike Fitzharris. It thanked me for being a valuable customer of QVC. And wished me and my family a happy holiday or something along those lines. I didn't get anything from QVC today. We'll have to stay tuned.......

I think I read somewhere about scams using QVC name but don’t remember where I read it. It’s easy to change caller ID to QVC. Someone tried to scam me stating they were Chase calling & it showed Chase on caller ID so beware
