I was sad to hear this as always liked CE, however she had ovarian cancer that has returned.

That is sad news, her sister died of ovarian cancer at age 62.

I heard that and am wondering why wasn't her uterus removed the first time?

@Tinkrbl44 That's very personal and I'm guessing only she or her doctor could answer that. I don't think she needs to make that public.

@Tinkrbl44 She has ovarian cancer, not uterine. My guess is that she had a complete hysterectomy the first time, but that it recurred.

@Linmo I always heard it was ovarian cancer so I was wondering where uterine cancer came from.

I also read that she had a complete hysterectomy as a preventative measure because of what happen to her sister, but they found cancer in her fallopian tubes.

@Love my grandkids she talked about it in 2021 when she had a preventative hysterectomy and that's when they found out she had stage 1 cancer.

That's unfortunate, but very interesting.

When I had a complete hysterectory many years ago, the surgeon found a cancerous tumor and advised another surgery to remove all lymph nodes possible.

He explained it as precaution in case the cells had spread outside the tumor. The lymph nodes were the logical location.

As soon as I was able, he went in again and removed all he could. I was relieved when a radiologist told me I was at the lowest end of the spectrum for doing radiation treatments.

After 5 years, nothing showed up. It was a huge relief and gift.

But she did make it public,so I think the public has every right to ask. If she wants her life to be private, keep it private.

May I ask (no answer needed if you are uncomfortable with the information) about your treatment? I am asking, because I have endometrial cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy. Now I will have a radiation treatment called Brachytherapy. Did you have Brachytherapy? Any comments, observations or advice if you did? My first appointment is Monday. Thank you.
