A couple that is getting on in years was having a discussion about death. At one point the wife asked the husband, "So, honey, do you want to be buried or cremated?"

The husband replied, "I don't know, dear, surprise me".

Yes...I have a friend that is a funeral director, he is not fond of cremation because he does not make much money....especially if the body is cremated right away and no public service. The money is made in the casket and the visitation time......

My mother has told us that she wants to be cremated and she wants her ashes taken to the Grand Canyon and spread there by my father, brother and I.

Now that it has become apparent that my father will almost certainly be passing before my mother, she asked him what his wishes are. He said, "well, I don't want to be thrown into the Grand Canyon!"

(I was crying when I asked her if she knew what his wishes are...but I had to laugh when she told me he said that.)

I know this thread was a joke. I also know that it's a serious subject and a current one for many on this board. But I have to say I loved your dad's comeback here. What a great line, mistri. Sorry, but I had to laugh too!
