I was Horrified today !

You won't believe what I saw ! I pulled into a QT gas station and noticed an officer watching a woman who was smoking while pumping gas. I looked at her and thought what kind of idiot would smoke while pumping gas ! I pulled up to the pump got out of my car then heard screeming. I looked over and saw the woman's arm was on fire ! She was swinging her arm and running around going crazy. I ran over to her but the officer put her on the ground and was putting the fire out with his bottled water.

He got her up from the ground then he put her in handcuffs and threw her in the back of his patrol car !! I was totally shocked ! so I went over to him and asked why he was arresting her. He looked me square in the eyes and said,

WAVING A FIREARM !!

I laughed that someone didn't grasp that it's a joke and started lecturing (again) about off-duty police. Always primed and ready in scolding mode.

Agreed. Didn't find it amusing either. Yes, i have a sense of humor...but I have seen people smoke at gas stations. I just leave station because I am afraid I would say something snotty and that's not going to help anyone. Also not funny because we live in a time of great unrest and people are out there waving weapons.

Exactly !! Can't people just have a little fun sometimes !

Someone said it's a joke that been going around facebook for years. I had never seen it before, I'm not big on Facebook. A friend sent it to me and I thought it was real when I started reading it until I got to the end. Laugh sometime !!

Jokes about guns are just not funny to me. I have never done facebook, this appears to be one more reason I am glad I have avoided that site and the 'jokes'.

As the wife of a retired cop, this story is closer to truth than you might think. Laugh if you want. I don't find it the least bit funnty.
