JTV has a tie in with Make-a-Wish foundation until Feb. 12. They will donate 5.00 for every order.

@hunt and peck I'm not really sure what you wanted or expected of QVC. For me, donating my time or a monetary item has nothing to do with a retail business. I donate my time throughout the year and I "give" to several charities throughout the year, not on this Tuesday.

What a retail business chooses really doesn't sway me one way or another. I "give" where and when I can and where I see it's needed.

I am being inundated with 'giving Tuesday" requests and happy I'm not getting anything from the shopping channels

Just made a donation to Warrior Canine Connection. They provide trained service dogs to challenged veterans free of charge. The difference these dogs make in the lives of the veterans is amazing.

I've never understood why posters automatically assume that Qurate (or any other retailer or business) is obligated to participate in events such as this.

There is no obligation. Most major corporations participate in various forms of charitable activities the entire year and don't need an artificial "day." Although I guess you have the brag today.
