I'm in your neck of the woods. In Albuquerque... I had surgery at Lovelace Woman's Hospital .. a rare form of uterine cancer. They had to send samples to a lab in Michigan to identify..

There was a lot of the cancer but hopefully they got it all...might need Chemo and/or radiation. As far as my Sistah in NY, and I know there is none in our family..but who knows what it was like for relatives in Italy as my grandparents were the first here and we don't know about other relatives..

They took EVERYTHING that needed to b gone..if chemo gotta have it down there...radiation can b done here. I've had pain since Sept 7th..only pain I have now is surgery pain and just took meds for that..whoohoo...

The DH has been so good! He said pic a trip and when I get better we'll go..

@dancingwoman. Wow, I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune but it sounds as though the surgery went well.

If you're going to be here awhile and feel like it, maybe I could meet you and dh for lunch or something. I'd love to meet you two. Do you know anyone here? Our fellow poster @JustBee who lives in Albuquerque is also fighting cancer. I think she's being treated at the UNM Cancer Center.

@Kachina624 I'll try to let you know. We hafta come down for a visit in a few weeks We can always pick u up. It is a truck tho..4wheel...but after the surgery Jim put a small ladder out to help me up...

THANK YOU everyone...how sweet ALL of you are...I'm already feeling better. Been taking Motrin instead of the oxy. I walk a little bent over as it's hard to straighten up..they did a cesarean and the robiotics ...I guess it was BIG...anyway they had to do a cesarean ...

@Kachina624 Our friends house is in the NE part of Albuquerque...so the drs and lovelace are all at that end..

We were gonna stay with DHs fishing buddy....but his grandson got COVID so that nixed that...
